Our Conference Mission

The NEHTA regularly sponsors and co-sponsors workshops, conferences, and other professional development activities. We offer conferences on academic topics of historical and educational interest for students, teachers, and historians.

Traditionally, the NEHTA has also co-sponsored the Northeast Regional Conference for the Social Studies (NERC) and hosts a luncheon / reception with a noted academic historian as the keynote speaker. Recent speakers have included author and historian Eric Foner, and author and archaeologist William Kelso.
