Becoming a foster parent is truly life changing! For many, it can also seem like an intimidating process. We are here to help!

The first step is making sure that you qualify to become a foster parent in the state of Ohio. You can do this by clicking the "General Requirements" link. Most interested people do qualify! We are happy to mail you a welcome packet with an application, but if you are eager to get started today you can also find one on our "Downloadable Forms and Checklists" page. Familiarizing yourself with this page will also introduce you to some of the documents that we will be asking for before we can officially certify your home for foster care.

Please remember that we ask for so much information because we need to make sure our children are being placed in safe and healthy homes. We will handle your personal information with care and in accordance with all ODJFS regulations. We can also assist you in the process of completing the certification process. Once you have contacted our office, you will be linked with a support specialist who offer ongoing assistance and guidance through the licensing process and beyond.
