In 8th grade, the students were asked to research a character or story from Greek mythology that is often alluded to in modern culture. Their objective was to teach the class the origin story of their topic and explore ways it can be used as an allusion today. Students were incredibly creative in their tellings of the myths, with some even using AI to help their audience better understand the historical background of their topic. Check them out by flipping through the slides and clicking the play button—you might just find yourself slipping references to Medusa, Tantalus, and the Cyclops into everyday conversations!
The seventh graders completed a thought-provoking propaganda project inspired by Animal Farm. They were tasked with creating campaigns using elements of propaganda and logical fallacies to promote an idea, drawing from Napoleon’s push for Animalism in the novel. To elevate their projects, some students used AI tools to generate impactful images that visually reinforced their messaging. The results were outstanding, with students demonstrating both creativity and a deeper understanding of persuasive techniques. Click the links to take a look—but watch out! You might just find yourself persuaded by Napoleon’s charm (or tricks)!
