Trustee & Members of Ministry and Personnel Team Needed

New Hope United Church is calling upon the congregation for those willing to offer their time and service as a Trustee or a member of the M&P Team. If you are interested please reach out to Krista Coughler, Gwen Brice or Derek Elion.

Worship Team

The members of the Worship Team work with the minister to ensure proper administration of sacraments, aid in seasonal worship planning and help with spiritual leadership, overseeing youth programs and bible study. When necessary, they organize pulpit supply and outdoor services, help carry out decisions made by the congregation and are responsible for membership and archives.

Community Outreach Team

The role of the Community Outreach Team includes planning and executing social events, overseeing facility rentals, carrying out event marketing, and coordinating with community support services/agencies. New members always welcome.

Trustees

The trustees represent the congregation to make decisions and take action on matters of property and maintenance. They will work with the hired custodians and hire external contractors as needed. They are responsible for all the assets of the pastoral charge and will report to the congregation at meetings. Speak to David Willis or Ruth Lamb for more information.

Ministry and Personnel Team

The committee will work with all contracted employees (Administrator, Bookkeeper, Music Provider, Custodians, Minister). Contact Gwen Brice for more information.

CONGREGATIONAL MODEL

Our church operates under a congregational model. The whole congregation is invited to attend congregational meetings four times a year, either in person or by zoom. At this time, the different teams give reports/recommendations and motions are made.
