Church Service
Sunday, May 17 - 10 am
Sermon Synopsis: Ascension Sunday celebrates, not Jesus leaving us but lifting us — lifting our humanity, our future, and our hope into the very presence of God. He who now reigns over heaven and earth, represents us, intercedes for us, and by His Spirit, dwell within us. Because He was lifted up, we can stand firm, live boldly, and trust deeply until the day heaven and earth are made one again.

Q&A Sunday Is Back!
June 28 — Our 2nd Ever “Ask Anything” Sunday
Got a question you’ve always wanted to ask about God, faith, or the Church?
Ever wondered why we do certain things in worship?
Curious about something in the Bible, or puzzled by a religious symbol you’ve seen?
Or maybe you’ve got one of those “Is it okay to ask this in church…?” questions.
Good news — this is your moment.
Q&A Sunday is your chance to ask the questions you’ve been carrying, the ones you’ve whispered, debated, or scribbled in the margins of your Bible.
No question is too simple, too deep, or too quirky.
Write your questions down and submit them by June 21.
We may not have all the answers (or even good ones),
but we promise to give you honest, thoughtful, and sometimes even entertaining responses.
And who knows — your question might be the one someone else has been afraid to ask.
Come ready to listen, learn, laugh a little, and explore together.
Blessings, Calvin
We continue to collect food or monetary donations for the Food Cupboard. Thank you from the Community Health Centre of Northumberland for Food and Money Donations.
Thank you everyone for your generosity. See the attached letter from Adam Hudson by clicking here.
Helping Hands Northumberland - At the annual meeting of Hills and Shores UCW Presbyterial there was a presentation by Helping Hands Northumberland. They are an organization that donates many items to a variety of causes, with a focus on repurposing items. For example, they make little girls' dresses from men's shirts and used t shirts. We are collecting items for them. If you want to donate, there is a bin at the front of the church to place your items, or drop them off at the church during office hours. (9 am - 12 noon, Tues, Wed and Thurs). The last meeting for HHN before summer is June 2, so the items collected will be taken to them then. Following is a list of accepted items: Yarn, Thread, Fabric, Pillow Cases, Sheets (flannel or cotton), milk bags and plastic clips, buttons, toothbrushes, travel sized toothpaste and soap, fleece blankets (used OK), ribbons, beads, iodized salt, used clothing that can be re made, pill bottles (screw on tops, 3" high and 1" diameter.) If you sew, knit or crochet, materials can be picked up at one of their meetings so that it doesn't cost you anything. Patterns are available on their facebook page under "files".
