Contests

The Santa Cruz Scholastic Surf League (SCSSL) hosts five contests every year. They happen on either Saturday or Sunday (we find out the week leading up to the contest which day the middle schools are competing). Contests are held at Steamer’s Lane, Waddell Creek and either Pleasure Point or the Hook. 

2025/26 Contest Schedule:

Sept 27/28 @ Waddell

Oct 25/26 @ Steamer Lane (new date)

Nov 23/24 @ Pleasure Point & The Hook (new date)

Dec 13/14 @ Steamer Lane

Feb 7/8 @ Pleasure Point & The Hook (new date)
