SERVICES AT NEW AGE
Care here is grounded in clinical indication and delivered through a collaborative process, ensuring treatment decisions align with each patient’s condition, goals, and preferences.
Joint mobilization is delivered to restricted joints of the body (spinal and/or extremity) to increase mobility, reduce overactive muscle tone, and inhibit pain. This can involve high-velocity thrusts, where you sometimes hear a cracking or popping sound.
Gentle, non-cracking options are available and are clinically indicated over traditional manipulation in certain conditions. Dr. Rose is certified in Activator Basic Methods. He is also able to use a drop table for adjusting the pelvis and flexion-distraction techniques, both of which are great options in managing disc issues and spinal stenosis.
Manual or instrument-assisted pressure is applied to tight or disorganized soft tissue fibers in the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and/or fascia to help reduce pain, improve range of motion, and reduce imbalanced tension on the joints.
Dr. Rose utilizes a combination of his thumbs/elbows, scraping tools, and cupping, and sometimes incorporates passive or active movement during the therapy to increase effectiveness.
Evidence supports the use of exercise to improve recovery time and reduce the recurrence of injury when treating orthopedic conditions. Dr. Rose provides individually tailored plans to help you maintain the positive effects of clinician-driven treatments and re-establish positive relationships with movement. These progressive exercise plans are designed to strengthen weak areas, improve stability, restore range of motion, correct movement patterns, and enhance coordination and proprioception (body awareness).
Similar to ultrasound, shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment for musculoskeletal conditions that works by stimulating blood flow, breaking down scar tissue, and triggering your body's natural repair mechanisms. It can be used for a variety of conditions, including tendonopathies, fasciitis, stubborn trigger points, muscle strains, trigger fingers, and more. There is no downtime, and many people notice improvement in their condition with just a few sessions.

Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) uses gentle electrical impulses delivered through surface electrodes on the skin to activate muscles in a controlled way. It is commonly used to help reduce pain, improve muscle activation, support recovery, and prevent muscle deconditioning when normal movement is limited.
