In most recent paper of Dictyostelium's lonely cells, I would like to know if they were able to aggregate or their progenies in the place where they were found. In Phil Myxomycetes page of mine I had a Stemonitis sp. that never aggregated and produce fruiting bodies after a long time. Both seems not interested.

Still with BASC, NAS, USA. One of the saved videos I randomly uploaded was America's Climate Choices. (BASC sent this to me and I saved it) Experts from various US universities, etc. made this video with all their primary ideas (about global warming) so as to accomplish the request of the US congress on this matter. Short for the droplets of sneeze and coughs, Nasty nature can reach up to the elbows. This has to be logistically planned for the future. Different from the pandemic.

In the first page (in Zoonosis...etc.), I wrote about the bad consequences of traveling abroad... bringing in new pathogens as well developing new allergies. I only get vaccinated when I went to a country in Africa as well as proper dose of anti malarial drugs. How about if WHO will look into any country's pathogenic load (re- evaluate) and recommend vaccination, medicines etc. for travelers. And for travelers who claimed to be infectiously relevantly sick must be automatically quarantined. If these prophylaxis does not run out of supply then why not. At least one can go home not only with the goods but no disease to spread. Well this is different for zoonotic ones but i think the "intellectuals" are learning about "similar" emergency medicines that they have started with this new virus. It's time to look into the anti DNA and RNA viral drugs especially to see which of those life cycle station among pathogenic DNA as well as among RNA viruses they share and target it there. (e.g. HIV drugs target life cycle stations.) Or the use of common but specific for family/kind of conserved genes for vaccine development for future use.

In 2001, I published an abstract titled Molecular Pathology Techniques in Clinical Virology
in Analytical Cellular Pathology 22(1-2): 84-85 eyeing third world countries to establish Molecular Pathology Laboratories for Clinical Virology. I know it's quite difficult especially if one follows the set up we had in our laboratories in the US. There is a flow chart where specimens were being passed/transferred from one lab. to the other in one spacious floor of a building. Therefore PCR has a room of it self free from contamination.

Wild life gives us a surprise. I have seen photos of wild life roaming around lockdown cities worldwide. No crowd present. What surprises me in the backyard is the presence of a nest of Pycnonotus goiavier in the same residential area where I did a lengthy research in them. A nest of Pycnonotus goaivier after six years plus? The nest is about 2 meters and a half high in a "shrub" (trimmed tree) thus it is easier to examine. The nest is adjacent to an elevated concrete flooring where household chores occur. Besides a number of Passer montanus, there are a few ones of Rhidipura javanica, Geopelia striata , a pair of Pycnonotus goiavier and of course, the pet dog.
P. goiavier nests after 6 years +? in the same residential area.
I observed that they are already in feeding stage of their brood... that's why the parents' visibility (as close as 3.5 meters away from me without flying) that led to nest discovery (this is explained in highlighted research above).
Using my "ordinary" camera I was able to get a picture of a parent P. goiavier in its "tamed state" (does not fly away) right after feeding the baby birds.

Seems viral drugs at work here.
Looking at the positive side but always remain obedient in keeping yourself away from being infected Like washing of hands with soap, by disinfecting - consult articles on these posted by CDC, WHO, inquire with your local communities etc. anything that comes your way or what you received and places which you think someone or you has/have respectively touched (read my previous post on "SARS COV 2 reconfiguration" in my first page), wear masks, observe social distancing and sneeze or cough away from people (get out of the room) and cover* your mouth (dispose used tissues/handkerchiefs properly) and avoid touching your face/ body if you think your hands are dirty.
*recent articles talked about spreading the virus while talking or breathing while exercising outdoors that's why mouth and nose covers (masks) properly placed are important with appropriate social distancing.

One of the keywords that I would like to look into as posted in my first page is cytokine release syndrome (includes cytokine storm). It is now resurfacing. No one drug (repurposed) may be suitable for this new virus but these drugs ought to be given at particular exact times. If there is a drug that stops viral sheds and prevent/favorably lessen cytokine storm, that will be very beneficial. Monoclonal antibody drugs are so expensive which I consider as a factor for third world clinical trials (mentioning "other geographical regions" in my first page). References 1, 2, and look for other related references online.

Antibodies and the probe used in RT square PCR complement each other somehow. In my former post above I used the word versus per the content of the cited article. When it comes to RT square PCR, it may depend on the type of specimen that is being used to identify the presence of the virus . If it is niched in the chromosome then I think one had used the lymphocytes (remember the Ficoll Hypaque) or if it is the meningo- spinal fluid or in the phlegm etc. then probably the characteristic of their infection could be gauged here (e.g. Ig present, probe Pos like HIV; Ig present, probe - etc.) For scant reports on re-infection, probably due to its very fast and excellence in terms of reconfiguration then it may be possible. But I am sure the antibodies against them have a very good immunological memory against them.

Repurposed vaccine and other new ones- I never thought that there were vaccines already intended for SARS 2003, etc. The latter has high genetic identity with this new virus and I hope that this repurposed vaccine can work. It is now undergoing clinical trials. Going back to my posted statement above-regarding making use of common but specific for family or kind of conserved structural genes etc.. could hopefully help make a vaccine not just for a single virus. This repurposed vaccine probably could be one. Ref 1

When I was reading articles a long time ago in quality control in food microbiology, I remembered one of the design of a laboratory/ facility is the presence of viral filters in its "window". Too small the size is where viruses cannot enter. How about employing this in infectious disease facilities or putting it as a components of masks (some commercial masks have antiviral filters), etc. so as to further protect our health workers. In a recent chinese paper online, this virus has been reported up 13 feet in the air in hospital wards? with greater number in the floor.

The use of Convalescent plasma (or the Immunoglobulins) as therapy.
As posted above this therapeutic procedure has been practiced ever since (years ago) and it shows some success. The FDA currently has given its guidelines. So I just hope that people who have recovered will be able to donate their plasma. There is an online form (applicable only in the US?) for those who would like to donate (but please verify this first). Here are some information on this as well as a success story. In one article about the use of plasma in Tanzania (plasma therapy is not new in Africa with the new diseases) they have a problem there of a blood purifier? so I hope the equipment for this will now be made available in countries who need it and must be ready for use. So I hope this will be made applicable to all countries.

Models in Science
As posted In my first page, I think I believe in what Dr. Wilson (Harvard University) said that theoretical models are much better than mathematical models (in theoretical biology). Regarding the model for this new disease, I would suggest that the most applicable therapeutic option will be included. You call this as a "stop gap" before drugs could be pinpointed as successful, so too with the vaccines. Let us say the most probable is the CPT (see above), then are there enough donors for CPT referring to those who recovered? Are the CP available in the country? Are the equipment and the competent technicians present, too? Is it successfully working well in this setting (replicating published success stories)? If they are then probably one can loosen the pin. A senator was able to question the model system in science and this is how they reacted.

Dr. Ian Wilson, Scripps Research Institute, San Diego, California, USA is a 2005 Molecule of the Year winner of ISMCBBPR (please see first page regarding ISMCBBPR) investigated the weak point of the new virus where upon an antibody known as CR3022 binds to it. This would be good candidate for vaccine production. Doing further work in this scientific endeavor.

I have read additional model* regarding the future existence of this new virus and how our immune system particularly antibodies of similar kinds/ family could be involve in what we call cross reacting capacities (also see post above) besides the controlling evolution of the new virus because of the specific antibodies against them. At the end it is like the "Taming of the Shrew"**. When all of them are in this state I can now apply my theory of Molecular Synchronization. There are still more applications for this new theory of mine. Please see first page regarding this theory.
*by Harvard univ. epidemiologists
** In taming of the shrew, per summary/analysis the shrew was "tamed" but (in deeper scrutiny) she was not "tamed." Can we say if this is true for this new virus? Immunity questions are on the rise.

Opinion
I think one of the general subjects that will be implemented or be included in a related ist year college subject is "Understanding yourself in a medical way". I think at UPD they had a subject that all ist year students will take in biology regardless of course enrolled in (remembering maam Edna A.). So it is possible to include it there. This will make it easier for them to understand the nature of diseases, the cause, the preventive measures... and as much as possible all relevant diseases including new ones will be discussed (differential diagnosis if possible) from mental health to pandemics. As disease explanations are already in the molecular and cellular level this will be used in lectures. The benefits will include shortening the period of asking MD's the why and what of the diseases and for them to understand the protocols in why and what they need to do this and that to make them safe etc. And be able to have a background of their prescriptions. Especially in quarantine set up it is difficult to come in contact with your MD. Learn the permissible skills (e.g. heart beat counts, etc.) for self diagnosis. Having particular knowledge, if there is a need of volunteers* (in case of emergencies), one may be able to participate. The Biology course at UP are having subjects with advanced medical knowledge (remembering my professors) but not all (in other courses) can avail it.
*Thanks to the CS UPDil volunteers, in some dept./research units PCR is just everyone's expertise.

Posted above is about the CPT and plasma is rich in antibodies against the new virus. But one outstanding component are the neutralizing antibodies (see post above). So next keywords to deal with: therapeutic proteins, neutralizing antibodies, mono clonal and polyclonal antibodies versus recombinant antibodies, hybridomas secreting specific neutralizing monoclonal antibodies, therapeutic proteins as duplicate drugs replicating antibodies in large scale production and given into shots either singly or mixed in cocktails, therapeutic proteins immunogenicity, anti drug antibodies, cytokine storm. Use the keywords as guidelines to full understanding of the methodologies in the production and application of therapeutic proteins (antibodies in this case) and its effect to the cellular level after reading this article from Bloomberg (April 20,2020).

Something new, some questions..
Specificity/(Sensitivity) in Polycistronicity.
I think being a SARS virus, it follows that it may possesses the biggest polycistronic genome among RNAv. When it comes to antibodies ?. In nature probably there may be wobbles of similarity [among strains] which I think may be helpful. But I haven't seen a "naked" lit on DNA probes used (Was I late?) (whether it is the subgenomic mRNA 2,3,4 or 5 or a non structural protein gene, etc.). I have seen probes for vaccine development (by a biopharmaceutical company)... ?. I know everyone is busy for the right cure and publications on this will soon churn out and that is understandable. Pandemic a long time ago is symptom based (not really a complete medical term) without molecular test or are there signs of beginning?

A daily routine of announcements that this "clinical" trial is about to start in various media outlets is sometimes not so interesting to re read or re learn it. Molecular biology is a highly "imaginative" science. You cannot see the result unless for instance in one aspect you see it in a gel after PCR. So if this is all talking without the beginning then it's all eyes rolling then what is the result of this imagination. If one could have started and announce that we are in this status and it is 99% successful that would be the reality of molecular biology as expected.

On Dichotomous roles of immune cells-
I came up with this statement upon knowing as far as I remember of cell transformation, I think there is the CD4 as an example. Please see subpage in first page on: Discoveries. With the inflammatory aftermath of the immune cell(s) it seems that it has a dual role but probably not intended. It tries or gets rid of the foreign body. And as a consequence make the cells targeted (with the virus) unfavorable to sustain life. So there is such a subtle type of a Dichotomous role. Good and Bad. This can be observed during infectious takeover of this new disease. A detailed explanation (warning may be too specific) of this can be read in Science mag April 17, 2020. Ref.- "How does coronavirus kill? Clinicians trace a ferocious rampage through the body from brain to toes". But the recoveries are also increasing and wish for more.
-------------
Something new, Opinions
Pondering Re- infections-
Viruses can be dormant and undergo infectious transformation (please see my theory of Molecular Synchronization and the Varicella- Herpes zoster conversion in the first page). "This SarsCov 2 is not a retrovirus, it's a coronavirus" (as stated by Dr. Baltimore's recent interview at Caltech; the discoverer of RT and Nobel Laureate) therefore its ability to be integrated in the cells chromosomal system is nil (unless there is a special mechanism but no pub in hand as far as I am concerned). So where is this new virus hiding? Patients become negative and later become Pos again. One reason could be the viruses are in the b. lavage after they were done in their upper respiratory tract sojourn making those swab samples from throat negative. And later they just could re enter the cells through the Ace2 receptors and start multiplying. But Ace2 also has anti inflammatory capacities /immunomodulatory role (considered by one as "counter- intuitive"). Are they capable of keeping the virus from replicating in such detectable numbers because of this? I think more studies will be centered in this new virus and the Ace2 receptor of the cells because as of now this is where the virus is clearly associated. There is also an accessory enzyme known as Tmprrs2 that is worth looking into.

Resurgence 101-
In case this will happen, what's next? With or without resurgence- I think lessons learned the public has to be wary of "going" out. This has to be done in a minimum. Let the suavity of life be at its lowest and just consider life's basic needs. Buy in batches. Go to essential places where you can practise physical distancing and avoid those you can't. Avoid grouping, chattering and handshaking or anybody's touch. As usual do the basic instructions (as given above- April 05 2020 post; in "seems viral drugs at work here"). Just imagine you are entering a CDC lab of Ebola virus as a researcher and you need to be extra careful. The attire one uses and all safety precautions. That's how you treat yourself. Do a self quarantine yourself and practise it. Everyone is a suspect. In case you feel you are in the "resurgence" category- is there a hot local number to call? Talk to your MD, go to the hospital. They say they are ready so be it ready. Let us see how "spaciously" and protocol based (step by step) ready. How's the stop gap status in your area (pls. see post above)?

I am happy for the people who supported the Earth Day 2020. And I remembered my Stare and the Drown scenario that I wrote (It's still can be accessed online) respective to the unexpected dangers (just like the pandemic) of climate change. With the over exploitation of the Earth, (Who permits it?) I think one has to be multi specialized to know what to do in case "it's in the environment." Finding one with that specialty when you are in an enclosure (e.g quarantine, flood, war) is difficult to do but if you have other specializations you can dismantle the problem yourself. I believe in liberal education. Harvard does. If you specialize in just one it is just sitting in a nest all the time hatching the eggs even when there are no more eggs to hatch because that is your specialty and that is the only movement that you know in such a disastrous situation.

Even you have numerous staff in your testing center if the diagnostic assay is not doing well, it is a sham. Some of them may be able to elute the band or the hybridized probe and analyze it if there is a problem as visualized. Do the work of a molecular biologist! Consult with your Molecular Pathologist! But with those patients who recovered and were able to donate the appropriate antibodies I can see some connections so it seems that the PCR diagnostic assay is working well.

Sars Cov 2- HIV ?
There are new claims such as the fast infectious entry of this new virus to the cells with or without Ace 2? is due to the presence of the HIV envelope gene within the Sars CoV 2 Spike gene (see keywords below for reference). This is maybe responsible (while others such as furin etc.) for the "membrane fusion" capability of Sars CoV 2 (Sars 2003 and other coronaviruses do not have this capability?) to penetrate the T cells, kill it but it could not reproduce (Ref1 ;Ref 2), therefore both of them die in the process. The HIV env gene could not be recognized by Blast for if searched it brings forth names of other organisms. That is why others say they are just fragments naturally (Ref 3) occurring not synthetically inserted. I was also surprised that in an answer and question forum in an article online someone said that this virus is a coronavirus followed by a separate statement that it is a retrovirus. A pub that I need to analyze soon but I still prefer stop gap drugs that could control viral sheds as more important than inflammatory ones.... In case a single potential drug is needed. Just like in HIV... the titer has been reduced and I just don't know if there is a drug that targets DNA intermediaries but having a small titer do you think this could create a DAMP? In HIV, it is as safe as having unprotected sex therefore it is not infectious (Please see my first page regarding HIV pub on this). Prominently important, HIV is "vacinneless" until now.

ReInfection and Reactivation are two important terminologies in viral life cycle. The gaining of a positive cue after a negative test could not be a reactivation of a coronavirus. Unless there is such a thing as a generalization that all viruses has some sort of a "latency" period especially for those humans whose immune system are strong enough. Just like in HIV there is a latency period (but pos) and it is asymptomatic just like in this virus there are asymptomatic bearers too (but pos, then neg, then back to pos for some). Can we consider this also as their "own" latency period? ReInfection is considered as "ReInfection" per se or is it due to a sturdy remnant that was able to undergo cDNA in the PCR process? Where are the RNAses? I really don't like to dwell on this for the reason that I haven't seen the DNA probes sequences much more the viral genome.

But once the inflammation has peaked in this new viral disease thus a failure of initial inflammatory med or other drugs beforehand, then specific ones will be given to combat the inflammatory reactions. Like anti coagulants for the hypothesis that this virus produces superoxides causing endothelial dysfunction releasing vwf* that would cause blood clots. This is just one of those inflammatory obs (hypothetical connections from a video) but I believe there are still others (acting in different organs or emanating from it) which I think need to have their own prescribed meds. *Keyword of importance: ADAMTS-13 is of zinc and calcium dependency...

Leveling off process*, on Molecular Synchronization theory (Pls see first page)
At this stage the viruses will be able to reduce mortality, lessen serious infectivity so mostly asymptomatic. What are the reasons- the virus has met its fighters in an overall aspect of the immune system if it transfers it becomes weaker and may be asymptomatic or symptomatic but mild. Another reason maybe the cross reacting antibodies from it's clade or from other coronavirus in the respiratory system (polycistronic see my above post) whereby they had experienced being "bludgeoned" but if they survive and transfer, they are not as strong as before. They'll encounter their second bouts. Human to human transmission is much tolerable than direct zoonotic ones. They later become silent or dormant or being effaced out especially if vaccine is present. Regarding mutation that still need to be seen to what extent. Probably in some instances it has a better animal? host. Take care of your immune system (See Discoveries sub page)!
* In this pandemic, one may rely to the immune system but importantly especially that this is a new virus donot allow oneself for the viral particleS to enter the body so observe the necessary mechanisms/ precautions to protect oneself (Review posts above).

Skipping the traditional lines (in vaccine making)
Either partially doing animal trial or concurrently doing it with clinical trials or no animal trials at all, I think this is reasonable for such a haste in saving lives of the people infected with this new virus. Probably in particular circumstance one that is resilient in animals can be physiologically beneficial to humans. Introducing (remembering that Ph.D. researcher injecting himself a package of genes so as to improve an aspect of his cosmetic phenotype - Pls. see first page ) weakened virus having the protein of interest or constitutive (if not this will take time) protein machineries such as mRNA , I think this may not be so harmful because the goal here is to appropriately produce neutralizing antibodies. Eventually it has a protective purpose. Therefore it may be like a "stop gap" (term which I think is appropriate for "vaccineless" diseases) when favorably producing antibodies and humans have the benefit and if it deletes all the viruses in particular long term span then it could be a cure (a vaccine). In the first page, there was an article regarding the combo use of antibiotics for bacteria that are highly resistant to broad spectrum specific ones. Another alternative is to use bacteriophages (please see first page) And of course one is familiar of the various anti HIV drugs. If there are "vaccines" that could not spell a cure, why not use them as "stop gap". They may act in particular proteins of the virus and stop (to such an extent) viral sheds and subsequent stations of its pathogenic life cycle It may also hinder its mutability considering the various structures it may have attacked. Being a member of DELS, NAS, USA with one of its unit: ILAR, I am also particular of the use of animals in research. There is a protocol to use 3Rs in dealing with animal testing being practiced particularly in UK.

What we need is an innovative molecular and cellular vaccinology. Probably we have to say goodbye but not completely to the methods of conventional vaccine and introduce something workable especially in dealing with new pathogens (viruses, bacteria and micro fungi) claiming new emerging diseases. Let the incoming pandemic be met with innovative methods so as to "contain" it and stop mortality. How about a "vaccine or a "new technique" directed or suitable for "controlling" or "eliminating" its clade? Identification and pooling of neutralizing and other potential antibodies and appropriate super active immune cells for specific, fast and efficient actions. I think there is nothing new in vaccinology except for the mRNA vaccines and hope there will be newer ones. Oncology is kicking off. See below.

The virus is still lurking so be cautious whatever type of situation you are in. Please see my above post in Resurgence 101 just to be reminded. Having a lockdown for a long time may be mentally straining. Have a happy outlook and never be miserable. Think that being "cocooned" is a privilege. List down all your healthy hobbies that you can do that makes you happy. If you have other ailments what are the best ways to treat yourself at home. Put them down in paper too. Pray. But subconsciously protect yourself from viral exposure once you are out of your "cocoon". Always remember the precautionary measures like hand washing etc. Please refer to my post in Resurgence 101 above. Thanks.

I think, Dr. Steven A. R. Murphy, the President of ISCSPM, what I have written here is a good suggestion to make Personalized Med more patient friendly. PM is still very important!
On Personalized Medicine*
Two major concerns here. The first is this must not be purely a human genome perspective but as talked about in the article (see link below) the environment has to be considered. To make it easier I did mention two types of environments: Exogeneous and Endogeneous environments. (The article talking about these environments is in the Google Scholar as a Citation). In addition the science of Epigenetics has to be included. It may modify human genome direct gene expression or will have its own way. The second concern is the "strip -naked" decoding of the human genome. This is really difficult to take but probably, familial (bad and good) genes will be the major focus. After which thorough laboratory tests of non familial traits would be undertaken. That's the time that the gene(s) will be rooted after laboratory based differential diagnosis of lethal or semi lethal or future occurrence of lethal diseases. But if the epigene or its protein has more relevance than the human genome gene then a set of laboratory test for this will be undertaken. In some circumstances, the epigenes are the ones that need to be the target for cure rather than the human genome gene. I think the human genome code has to be secretly vaulted and be revealed only to the person who owns it... in the first place that is why it is called personalized medicine. [or a person who would like his or her genome to be decoded will be given a thorough guide of the genes that a human genome may consist (a complete map) and once his or her own genomic map is available (as the only copy) then he or she has to make the choices to what couple of genes he or she wants to work on. This would involve quite a lengthy genetic lecture and analysis.] I think the person's genomic component (not all maybe expressed) is not to be judged right away but by his or her present phenotypes. Here is the Link (under Life and Style).

Update on the Covid 19 vaccines/June 15, 2020
In my post above, I also mentioned that these "vaccines" can be used as "stop gaps" and I think they will be successful too in not making a severe disease out of the viral infection (pls see Discoveries sub page in main or first page). In here (pls. see Link below) scientists from various prestigious research schools talked about the "first vaccines" of this disease/or this virus. Dr. Dennis Burton is one of them, also the winner of the Molecule of the Year of ISMCBBPR together with Dr. Ian Wilson both from Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California (please see above). Also as to my post above I am hoping that there will be vaccines' molecular and cellular modifications and "other tests" that will take the place of vaccines for those pathogens that are difficult to contain by true vaccine categories. As far as I analyze (opinion), it will just be like the pandemic Influenza virus that killed so many in the past but later they (I hope they are of the same strain or high percentage of genetic similarity as of our current i.v.) molecularly synchronized (my theory- pls. see first page) with the immune system, still infectious but no widespread deaths and are no longer in epidemic or pandemic proportions because people infected could self cure [somehow tamed by the immune system] themselves (or could be hastened by available "stop gaps" or "vaccines"). It's like having a plateau effect for both. [Quite similar to my post above on "Leveling Off Process"] Here is the Link.

Why not study them? According to one source online flowerpeckers (is this a sunbird?) are found in the Phil except Panay island. By the way, their small size and swift flying processes may belong to a domesticity scale of 7 or more? Their domesticity skills are far out. Such birds I had observed making nest in a plant planted in the sidewalk near the bus stop in Los Angeles, California and in Bauhinia sp at the CSUDH campus.

I read a paper saying that herd immunity is present (from a foreign source). Are you exposing a final statement about it? How about saying progressive herd immunity (where I discussed this likely to happen with the flu pandemic in the above post), if there is? If herd immunity is like the "leveling off process (molecular synchronization)" that I wrote in my posts above then what are your indices? What are written in your comments seem like what I have written in my posts above? (e.g. cross reactions etc. ) Where does this "herd immunity" exist that you are claiming? Just randomly cluttered? Is this within a family, a neighborhood, a place of work, a local community, a small town, a city, a metropolis, the whole state, the whole region, the whole country? (- to be called a herd) or predisposed in particular races? What is your ratio with those infected to mortality? Or your ratio of Covid 19 deaths to the population? How do you gauge the Covid 19 existence for the positives? How many people are asymtptomatic? Did they progress further to serious manifestations of the disease or it (being positive) just disappears? How many are symptomatic but not serious? How many are serious and lead to hospital admission and so on and so forth? How many of these people got well (but remain positive or negative)? How many people exhibit recurrence (re infection, repetition of symptoms)? Though the latter statement is a major index for "leveling off process" usually they donot become serious. This is common sense unless comorbidities and old age may come into play. The immune mechanism for this virus has not yet been finalized so avoid making final statements.

Re infection? (search online)
There is an ongoing saga regarding re- infection of Covid 19. Some scientists do not agree because the presence of antibodies is enough to stop the virus from re- infecting the person and the person's new acquisition of symptoms is the reactivation state of the previous virus to cause a re infection. But once the immune system lowers its capacity to prevent that reactivation with that previous virus in vivo then the body I think is open for re infection from the outside. Another issue here if you add a lot of viral titers from the outside will you not get re infected? Therefore if this is your perspective about viruses, I wrote a statement in my post above about the generalization of a latency period(s) for the viruses as in this Covid 19 virus (pos-neg-pos then probably neg then what pos again?) just like HIV's own but pos. This will be added to my discoveries sub page. It's like saying that viruses will remain a flora of the human body.
This is not a molecular cocktail but a cocktail of ?? thoughts:
In HIV, dormancy means the patient is positive but no serious symptoms leading to AIDS. In Coronavirus for Covid 19, dormancy means no virus present in rt pcr and no symptoms. But I think this is an anti thesis to the fact that scientists' assertion the virus is in the body only that it cannot be detected (you mean it was "adulterated" but it could re assemble then the virus is alive and kicking). If one can find its hiding place (e.g. in HIV it's the lymphocytes) and use it as a specimen then probably you can apply your rationale that reactivation is occurring and re infection source is the previous virus for people who become "positive again". If you compare both HIV and Covid 19 virus, they ended up with dormancy referring to no symptoms but as expected in the scientist's rationale that the Covid 19 virus ought to be present therefore it has to be pos. Otherwise if scientific enough (it degrades into a single A or G that no PCR machine could ever detect it and later it swirls and twirls until it re connects all the bases to be a PCR readable virus again) both will be included as new phases of the latency period but bit awkward. Please if you release a statement see to it that you can support it fully.

The Pros and Cons of Omega 3 Fatty Acids. In fishes, they are mainly eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Read Healthline's Evidence Based 13 benefits (Good for mental health?) and 8 little known side effects (Side effects are not so good). It seems that there is a difficulty of zeroing into something that one could say Yes! My attention was taken by its anti- asthmatic role in a Conversation article. The fatty acids interact with and stimulate a protein known as the free fatty acid receptor 4 that opens up and relaxes the lungs and airways knowing that the lungs are rich with these receptors. But I think, these receptors also has a role in glucose regulation and may not be good for diabetics (unless managed well).

On Covid 19 transmissions
When transmission was scarce and only limited, the idea of protection was solely personal. One must have PPE, exhibit social distancing and washing of hands, etc. This refers to individual guidelines to prevent infection and transmission. But once the spread is community based what are the guidelines? This time the individual is in the actual intersecting point of the infectious virus. CDC has a community mitigation framework and this is the only one that I saw that is quite well organized. At least the individual must know what to do in cases of community transmission (and infection) and the community itself will engage in some specific responsibilities or guidelines of their own. This comprise the residential community, business and government establishments like transportation sector and all other transactions (not viral free) that an individual will undertake targeting his/her protection in the midst of the community transmission or (possibility of) mass infection in a community. Here is the link (Unless there is an updated link or additional link of substance from other sources). Community spreads call for people to continuously be more vigilant.

Something new/Opinion
The word "milder" has a lot of meanings for it would lead to an x, y or a z. ( pos*, neg** or an in between***, respectively) We will just have to wait what the molecular epidemiologists say (these are epidemiologists who know how to incorporate molecular data into their findings even with a statistical depth).
*toward herd immunity
**toward phases/kinds/ranges of morbidity [which may subsequently lead to mortality]
***similar as prevailing situation- recoveries + death
This link above (in the word strain) calls for people to be Vigilant against Covid 19. No one knows the actual effect of the mutated strain of this coronavirus at present to humans.

It's time to say a big thank you to all the important scientists who have been a part of my important life. I am retiring soon, there is a pandemic and I will devote myself to fictitious literary writing. I told myself that 50 and above I will concentrate in writing. But I still feel 50 until now.

Procrastination and a bit of intro-- and Thank You-
For important reasons (health, etc.), I was not able to attend to the expectations like applying for Fulbright*... Thanks for all those who would like to bestow their letters of recommendations from the U.S.A., All funded China wetland conventions wherein I was not able to appear** in the embassy and my travel agent just did her part. Thanks to C.A., the Colorado dinner meeting in an international wetland convention that I was about to be a part of the four member team (including Beth, the former Pres. of the SWS Org.) of the International chapter... what else? More will come as I remember them. Oh by the way Thanks to the former executive director of PAEF, Dr. Esmeralda Cunanan for the realization of a Fulbright visitor from the U.S.A. (Please see first page) I received an email (not a scam!) from the Dept. of State (USA) inviting me to do a "peace corps" type of job. But I think my late father is more qualified to that job than I do. Thanking the Dept. of State and the CIES for the visiting Fulbright professor. I acclaim the scientific advancements and literary awesomeness of the U.S.A. and I believe in world citizenship!
*Being a US traveler for some time, it may not be appropriate
I was with Society of Wetland Scientists org as President of the S.W.S., Org Asia Chapter during the reigns of the profound Society of Wetland Scientists Presidents from 2005 to 2010 . One of them surprised me to run for the SWS Org Pres. I was so unprepared (a third world country office? could not hold a 3000+ wetland scientists worldwide in a smooth technological way if voted ) and I was not able to answer the precious phone call. I am sorry but I sincerely thank all of you! In my first page I do have statements of gratitude/plaudits for SWS Org. The International Federation of Cell Biology invitation in Korea convention where I think the South Korean organizers needed my passport, etc. for a sponsored trip but I was not able to do it (see Page 1). **Probably I am used to get visas without appearing in embassies just like what happened to (1 Asian [non ASEAN] and 2 Non- Asian) advanced countries for scientific reasons. Well they know me and my achievements. But all my thanks. South Korea is active in wetlands nowadays and I am happy!
^A wetland scientist from South Asia which was my choice (given the authority) for a free sponsored trip in an advanced country to attend a convention declined it for health reasons. To procrastinate is reasonable.

Re: Taxonomic Classification of Fishes. There are 2 camps (I have no idea if there are still others) fighting over a taxonomic category in the fish ladder. One still uses their own while the other prefer their own, but one has more influence to the WORMS but the latter is also saying that there will be revision in the taxonomic classification of (higher?) fishes. (quoted in 2017). So where is it? How is it going? So if this could not be patched up.. Well there is molecular and cell biology that could further find the right answer. It's an opinionated* world. (On Covid 19)
Tall tales versus Science
CDC is posting "Opinions" and others are posting their own "Opinions" about it (CDC). So if Covid 19 is treated this way, then there are so many tales (about it) mixed with adaptations and fiction probably from dreams and individual's own experience that others may share their own, too so no valid conclusion but a paper mache of all sorts. Let's go Disney but Disney is not morbid or Let's go horror like those street numbers that horror movies are named after. WHO, a few hours ago (it usually does) warns about fake news/items like editors paid to write opinions and say sorry again. The world is a stage where people are acting what? Fake to their own disadvantage? And to rest of the world? Here are the current Links 1, 2, 3, 4

Looking back at the publications, I thoroughly analyzed (see above coffee table reads). Oncology is not simply oncology but Molecular and Cellular Oncology.
a) Which of the publications I would like to re- read? It's the paper of Quach et al. (2019). A strategy to protect off the shelf cell therapy products using virus specific T cells engineered to eliminate alloreactive T cells. Journal of Translational Medicine.
I would like to return to Fig. 1. Retroviral constructs using CHAR sequence, and its molecular components.. and how to induce CHAR... how the HLA Class I and CHAR complex was formed?
-----------------
b) Guess the paper source for the statement below:
and the statement I made:
"A major breakthrough in ACT came to being when T cells whether autologous or allogenic can be engineered specifically against cancer cells. Two types of antitumoral receptors could be introduced in T cells. These include the TAA specific T cell receptors that are HLA restricted and the chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) directed against tumor specific proteins that are expressed on the surface of the cancer cells."
A paper of Russell, Wilky, Bueren or Howe? Make the right guess.
One of the best papers I read and analyzed was by Dan Li et al. 2019. A review article on Genetically Engineered T cells for Immunotherapy. You'll fall in "love" with this (not with the authors but its content).

About the Black Hole- The Nobel Prize Winners (from UCLA, Oxford, Max Planck and the UC Berkeley) for Physics in 2020
This is an interesting find among the scientists who were given this award. But I think, the mathematician from Oxford is very much visible as a theoretical physicist (similar caliber with the most famous ones) and defies Quantum mechanics. His discovery of the formation of black hole has a firm prediction for the general theory of relativity. His reasons (of defiance) are so clear to read in an early moning over a cup of coffee. I also like "his about to be born theory" in "brain consciousness" that he compares it to look like "a bit of Harvey's blood circulation". Black Hole too is also a "monstrous eater" of the stars.

And may be through the eyes of the world be the fashion statement or they may interbreed with most of their traits dominant and be considered as the most respective "race" in earth and their hybrids be "slave" to what they lack in terms of "survival" phenotypes. The CRISPR award and the others
Only two were chosen leaving out the others. I think the pioneering scientist meaning who discovered it first will be given the award- the one who made a basic stand in it while those who applied the idea will be subservient to the pioneer.
How about advanced patenting the basic find so the applied scientists would no longer hunger for it. Sometimes it is unfair especially if a "chorus" of people are working on it but some miss the honor. I think this discovery, co discovery thing has to be re written. Science has to be honest.

Defiers and what to do about them
They thought there is normalcy in the air but the truth is they are spreading the pandemic. Covid 19 spread is easier to obtain and realize compared to HIV. So not to follow the preventative measures will still allow the pandemic to exist and cause unstoppable deaths worldwide. Stop defying the rules wear the PPE, observe social distancing and other measures. Vaccines may not be a promising cure in the near time. Here is the link from a conversation with Dr. Fauci.
---------------------
Handouts for Covid 19 (In response to the above post)
Just like HIV, there will be handouts for Covid 19. There will be illustrations of people who are asymptomatic but positive (later to find out) and not wearing PPE as well as practicing preventative measures and their capability of passing the infection to other people especially to those who are not also following the rules on preventative measures like social distancing, etc. Of course the goal here is to contain the pandemic worldwide. But without proper monitoring and penalty, the pandemic will still continue.
-------------
In response to the above post/A Common Sense Discussion /Opinion
Common sense about Handouts for HIV and Covid 19 .. Discussing common sense statement is a little bit ... but well it is a great reminder of You and the Covid 19 pandemic.
- When it comes to HIV, a high percentage of infectious activity/spread is attributed to sexual urge and sexual performances while some are due to blood/milk/bodily fluid contamination not necessarily sexual in nature (but it could be). While in Covid 19- non sexual activities which include performances (like talking, sneezing, breathing heavily and exhaling, anything that involves whisking and throwing out of the fluids such as aerosols of the respiratory system, the mouth, the sinus, lungs, nose or even eyes (tears)? or the vapored gas or aerial gushing of lungs or outpouring a mouthful of air to the outside (just like what the kids are doing) or touching the viral laden fluids (dry or not) in any surface/matter/place/thing or manipulating any part of the human body (organs, tissues, cells, molecules) that is contributory for human Covid 19 spread but currently this part is unknown) and exposures (being a recipient of what is written in "performances" above) towers infectious rate (for Covid 19) while for sexual activities, this could be attributed for those who cannot sleep separately, appears innocent or are innocent about Covid 19 spread when on ..... or believe that in the "same bubble we are safe" (because we're together in our "siamese twin" type of activities) but when one goes out of the bubble's way (not necessarily sexual), he/she may have a chance of getting infected . So can we say, both non sexual and sexual activities are the culprit for the Covid 19 continuous pandemic foray? Of course as of now the most that the people could do is not to practice them for HIV but for Covid, it is not so good to say so. There is a need to breath, to talk, to exhale ... and not to spit? or sneeze (can you?), therefore the solution to this is the wearing of PPE, social distancing , washing of hands, using accurate sanitizers, avoiding face to face interactions, wearing of face masks and shields etc. To all: Be vigilant. a) Protect yourself and the people you are associating with, during your "performances"{usually measured in meters in social distancing, indoor and outdoor risks, air-conditioned and natural ventilation risks, etc.} And the b) people around you/or the listeners (for short time face to face interactions) must see to it that they will not become recipients (of fluids/moisture/aerosols) of your "performances" and the "performances" of others in the surrounding and c) you must not be a recipient, too of fluids from the "performances" of the audience. Fluids (with the virus) may come in some forms.. aerosols, liquid, semi dried may be in the air, floor or anywhere. Stop the exposures (see "exposures" above) (See the underlined the solution to this above...) ((d) avoid wrong "performances" such as not using sanitizers while handling infectious items such as grocery carts etc./ falls under "own personal performance, own personal exposure"). If properly done, No one will be contaminated (Contamination include - Infected if neg., re infected if pos then neg., if pos an addition of viral titers still pos., asymptomatic or not.. what else? this virus mode of infection and reinfection? was discussed in former post above). By doing all of these you are protecting each other in a mutualistic way. Or you can quarantine yourself but the place you are in is essentially full of what you need {except of course to be contaminated by Covid 19} (A Reality show?) But still wherever you are PPE. etc. are needed and most importantly be practiced. Stay safe. So clear?

Covid 19 as endemic. As to the content of this article, I already discussed this in my above post that there will come a time when Molecular synchronization between the immune system and the Covid 19 virus will occur. And this would be characterized just like our current flu virus(es) (Its source may be a variety of a clade of the flu pandemic a long time ago). But as of now no Molecular synchronization could be felt thus this is too early for a claim of herd immunity. Therefore with or without the vaccine the virus remains to stay in human bodies for generations (see my comment in the above post about it as a flora of the human body- a new discovery again) then we are still under a dangerous zone embodying both asymptomatic and symptomatic diseases. So the personal preventative measures will continue that include wearing of masks, social distancing... until the molecular synchronization exist. In this paper it is postulated that vaccines can aid in the molecular synchronizations for the Covid 19 virus.
Having been out of the Covid so neg. (read post above in the neg- pos- neg- pos.. etc. test results) There are still the remaining/aftermath diseases* that could provide evidences that one had COVID 19 once.
*may be similar to "residual diseases", I mentioned in my above post.

Pandemic Entertainment (Psychologically yours, Are you in this library now?)
I just read the paper in the use of "and/both" for a decision making especially if one is in the most difficult stage. It's just like choosing a career.. you need to consider both if that only one choice does not give you an edge. Is that it? Well one is a true career- imagine how you sweat it out to earn that degree (you will really have to keep on kicking on this if it is available) and the other "career" could be a hobby. Well you may search online about this "and/both" paper in psychology if you want to know more about it. While In this paper that I would like to share, it adds "spirituality" as one of the gauges for wisdom (where wisdom is also intertwined to mental health). There is no extensive discussion of each of the factors but you may pick one and apply it to yourself or apply it to your life and try to cogitate on it for a while. (You may need to search online for each of the factors if you want.) Are you practicing it? Does it help and make your situation a smoothie? I miss the smoothies that I usually drink but as of now, having limitations to go to restaurants, I can survive without it. (Smoothies are a combination of fruits in a drink with finely crushed ice). The mind will not focus on something but it will radiate into a number of things that makes your life a happier one being a social being (or sometimes a quasi- hermit) and I think this link will serve as your guide. Here is the link. I hope this could help you to a T.

Update on vaccines
Reminder
-The article linked here (directly above) reminds everyone not to let down our guard against the virus. Meaning there is still an ongoing need to be extra cautious so as not to introduce the Covid 19 inside the body. In fact I mentioned this common statement "Don't let down your guard" in one of my above posts. This include social distancing, washing of hands etc. the usual precautionary measures. Read above my posts; some tackle the common sense of protection if correctly performed. Why? Because this virus brings surprising diseases besides pneumonia. Blood Clotting is one. (Please see above posts for other developing diseases brought about by Covid 19; usually linked publications). So donot boast that you don't have pneumonia (could be silent/walking) that you are fine but once the virus is inside your body this may lead to other diseases and might be lethal.

Update on Vaccines #2
--------
Something new, Opinion
I think there is a need of publications that will support the recent statements regarding the Covid 19 virus mainstays in surfaces to be considered as nil/ minor when it comes to infectious set up. The first SARS virus (in HK) was considered to be potentially dangerous even by touch (e.g. fomites). Were they able to make favorable experiments in such a way that it will provide ambience for the "dead" viral particles to reconfigure to life after some time once they landed in these surfaces? Did they use the influenza and other viruses that are known to be infectious from contaminated surfaces as models? There must be lab cultures that will be undertaken in surfaces peopled frequently and if there are viable viruses of these types/strains, then disinfection will still continue. It is quite unique (or wrong?) if this phase of viral niches be considered as non communal for this virus in its infectious capability or pattern. Talking is not a scientific experiment.

Which is more important the DNA or the mRNA? We could say it is the DNA but the mRNA has I think a role in emergency need* of proteins. Let us site the matured Human RBC- It does not have the DNA because all the protein products as they say were produced for use through out its life time or can we say that mRNA were left behind* of the DNA, too. By looking at this perspective, One could see the relevance of the mRNA vaccines.
*the mRNA stability has to be looked into (especially for therapeutic purposes)

Something new, Opinion Keywords: Your Disease +Stress* (other stresses besides Covid 19) + Covid 19 worries* (which leads to stress)
When one gets sick, focus on the type of sickness you have. Be happy in other words be positive. As long as you have the proper medicine, then have faith on it and avoid stress . And do not think about Covid 19 while you are sick (Avoid the "Covid Fever**" because this brings a lot of stress). If you have Covid 19, focus on the symptoms, the major disease that may develop and the appropriate medicines for these and to take medicines that could enhance your immune system and also medicines that will not aggravate the other diseases in its presence. Learn from MDs, from your own background about Health Sciences, Human Physiology .. that you have taken in school or search in the internet. Just be sure that what you obtain online are credible. Usually facts are supported by references. The latest the references are the better. What you learned from the internet, consult it with knowledgeable people. Learn from it so you can help cure yourself.
* the latter two are considered unnecessary
**making one self very worrisome especially even without Covid 19

Reviews or even textbooks needed for:
Genetically Engineered Biomolecules (these will be numerous) and Competent Genetically Engineered Microbes/Cells/Organisms for Expressions of these Genetically Engineered Biomolecules. From plasmids to be competent to receive DNA during subcloning procedures, to making competent immune cells (a lot of methods here) and the new modifications in the mRNA used for the mRNA vaccines. Of course, this is simply addition and deletion of DNA etc. fragments, molecular re arrangement for some and other mechanisms with their functions as a modification for effective expression. Also making competent microbes/cells/organisms to receive these gen. engr. biomolecules for expressions such as the classical E. coli HB101. These textbooks/reviews could help bring about the realization of concepts of the unexplored biomolecules such as the use of mRNA for therapeutic purposes that I mentioned in my above post (mRNA vaccines leads the way). In this paper (11/25/2020) the concept of mRNA as a therapeutic molecule was observed in experimental mice in a 1990 publication. I am just concerned about the effect of patents to prices of these molecular meds. Please do not make it too expensive so people from low income families can take advantage of it. I know the MDs are wiling to use this but it would be difficult for them to consider this for cure if the price is not right. I remembered Dr. Grody's concern about BRCA gene being patented. But it was not. I think human genes cannot be patented as probe for screening purposes.
*if there is deletion then insertion of an exogeneous gene, this belongs to "cosmetic" genetics category. How long can it stay? I would suggests to make this procedure not too expensive because of the observational status.

On herd immunity (I was about to write nerd immunity. It could be because my title in this short opinionated article* is Trust your Immunity. You are co- evolving with it. The immune cells (read above post in the "evolution" of immune cells as one) and the "foreign bodies" could be living or non living are being worked out for the betterment of you in a special type of a relationship- commensal ? the most that I could think or one is benefited and the other none at all, etc.. This is response to the statement that the "vaccine could boost the immunity." The vaccine is just one of those "armaments" but shooting it right (right med/treatment) during its first appearance, it's the immune system who'll do the rest (for a lifetime). It may not be a 100% but there is a tendency to lessen the effects of the disease somehow compared to its first encounter.
*still has to be written and may include the strains/variants/etiology

Genome Sequencing-
I mentioned about this in my above post because of the delay in the announcement of the new Covid 19 virus Sars Cov2 that sequencing could have been done as pre- new year 2020 as what I can recall. Now in discovering new strains or variants of this Covid 19 CoV, Genome sequencing must be undertaken. It has to be fast, accurate and sensitive. This would help if these new strains come from other countries or an emerging mutant is taking place in the country itself*. Sometimes, announcing of the absence of strains in ones vicinity needs genome sequencing results as a back up. But how about in countries who do not have the capacity or sequencing is not their forte. Then one would jump into the pathogenesis of the disease.. and furthermore, focusing in the final effects in the human body taking in consideration its functional and structural changes (in the human cells). In this respect pathogenesis and the disease manifestations must be different from the original Sars Cov 2 of Covid 19. Do you think this is an easy task? Another is to make probes but single mutations may have some problems of cross reactivity so why not do a dot blot (if ever there is a supposedly probe) at least there will be chances in a spread out of samples. That may lead to a particular conclusion. I hope that these new strains could clearly be molecularly and cellularly analyzed so their antibody specific patterns will be deciphered and proper pathogenesis etc. will be marked. And to know if these mutated genes could bring devastating results (by its own expression) by gene banks comparative analyses.

The wonders of Sardinella tawilis. In one of my written statements now in peoplepill.com, I stated that there are "loop holes" in DNA barcoding and I vouch for the morphological inclusion in identification**. The recent paper of Chan et al. 2019***, titled: DNA Barcoding cannot discriminate between S. tawilis and S. hualiensis (Clupeiformes: Clupeidae), means that they are of the same species. Considering their biological and evolutionary characteristics, Willette (2014) stated* that they are sister species. They are geographically and reproductively isolated hindering natural inbreeding and there are morphological differences that have to be looked into. Also of importance is the physiological evolution of osmoregulatory mechanism. It is nice to know that the "morphological" component whether structural or biological is given attention (I read before about this Taiwanese species which is related to S. tawilis and I think this is the group of Carpenter* as authors).

A Philippine variant has been detected in Japan. There are plans of having a universal vaccine (see above post) but this fast production of variants, would direct the minds of how to deal with this. First, what part (including the mechanisms associated with it) of the virus has the greatest frequency of mutations? (Part of the mutation has been cited in the Philippine variant article). And from there, probably means of controlling it like producing quite a "specific but how broad" type of antibodies. And a much faster of vaccine production. I think the mRNA vaccine producers have found the expertise of assembling or manufacturing it in a quick but scientific and highly functioning manner. On Viral Mutations... unless you have found a more updated article. Here is the link..
*If these mutations have products that are independent of antibodies or as a result of these antibodies, then other products such as drugs (e.g. used in HIV) and other molecular elements may be used. Vaccine plus these other molecular products may be the next target.
Literatures needed to augment the above information:
*Viral Genome of SARS COV2 strain for COVID 19
*Viral probes used what ever nucleic acid forms

Cultural Adaptations/Changes Outside of Humans
When one deals with culture then we are after a population of similar species and there are particular adaptations and changes in their very own "culture". I talked about this when I saved a P. goiavier birdling for a night (please see post above -Theory of Human Familiarity) and I was able to observe particular behavior where in I could say that it was taught by its parents to behave that way considering that its ancestry (?) (a couple of pairs) had been studied (in an ambient/friendly manner) by me (Please see post above: Wildlife gives us a surprise) in the same place where the birdling was found. Now here are two articles, where these "cultural observations" have been studied by scientists. One is a Bird and the other is a Whale.

Therefore there is gene insertion (for instance using recombinant DNA techniques) let us say in a cell (e.g. zygote) and this is incorporated and copied in every cells' chromosomes leading to the organism with superior phenotype(s). In case, the superior phenotype produced is by hormonal then crossing over after a series of generations then it is no other than breeding, probably a superior procedure in breeding. If you observed the latter has no gene insertion so it is not a transgenic animal. Then the crossing over fits the (laws of) Mendelian Inheritance and considering that the gene(s) (e.g. in a chromosome like in the YY-> there was an attempt to i.d. this but I have no present idea about it) for that superior phenotype has not been identified, then having it as a candidate for a GMO is not possible. It remains phenotypic so Mendelian (e.g. smooth seeds X wrinkled seeds produce a percentage of wrinkled seeds etc.; follows the Mendelian laws but no phenotypic gene was identified). But let us say the gene for that superior phenotype has been discovered, isolated and purified and it is available for gene insertion to produce a transgenic animal, then it is now appropriately called a GMO. So say goodbye to Mendelian Genetics (Phenotypic). You are now entering the world of Molecular Genetics (rooting out for the Gene(s).
