Independence

Your child will feel better about him/herself if he/she is able to:

• Wash and dry hands

• Use a handkerchief or tissue

• Dress/undress

• Be confident in going to the toilet him/herself

• Use a knife and fork.

• Blow their nose independently

• Recognise and try to write their own name

Please practise these things with your child before starting school and help them get off

to a good start.

IMPORTANT– Please name ALL items including shoes, jackets,  gloves,

waterbottles and gym clothes as it makes it very easy for us to return otherwise

identical items to their rightful owner!
