What is Vanumia?

The Protectorate of the Kingdom of Vanumia is a sovereign nation situated in Alberta, Canada. Although small and seemingly insignificant, the leaders aim to bring in more citizens to grow not only in size but also in population.  To further solidify its independence, Vanumia now has its own military, currency, and even its own time zone.

Vanumia stands as a shining example of an alternative societal model. Founded on the principles of equality, solidarity, and collective well-being, Vanumia seeks to create a society where the needs and aspirations of every individual are valued and addressed. In Vanumia, the traditional hierarchical structures are entirely changed with a system that emphasizes cooperation and shared ownership. The government of Vanumia encourages citizen participation and engagement, fostering a sense of active citizenship and semi-direct democracy.
