Recent polls, such as one by The Economist, state that Malinowski has a 92% chance of winning with a predicted vote share of 54%, while Kean only has an 8% chance of winning with a predicted vote share of 46%. On October 24, 2020, Malinowski had an 88% chance of winning (4% less than his current chance) showing his increasing popularity. Another reason to believe that Malinowski will win is that one of the biggest issues that New Jerseyans care about is their representative's response to COVID-19. Tom Malinowski says that his biggest priority is finding a safe way to get his district out of quarantine while maintaining safety and then focusing on the economy. Kean wants to fix the economy before worrying about the virus, because he believes that a good economy should be our first priority. Another especially important issue for New Jerseyans is the environment, with a majority of the population thinking that it's a good idea to move to renewable energy. Because of this widespread view, it is likely that many will support Malinowski for his immediate concerns and approach to the issue.
