Data and Cookies (yum!)

We do not sell your information because we don't know how to sell it. And if we did know how to sell it, we here at New 210 Records condemn the act of selling user data and information to third parties. However, that being said, our host, Google Sites, may be collecting your information unknowingly. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about this, however, if we were able to, we would condemn these actions and push to prevent sale of user data and private information. We care about our artists and their fans, and would not want for this to happen to not just them, but to anyone browsing the Internet.

Artist Guidelines, Policies, and General Information

New 210 Records will, from this point forward, be referred to as "the Label". The person or persons in a performing or producing role will, from this point forward, be referred to as "the Artist" or "an Artist". A music release, whether a single, EP, or album will, from this point forward, be referred to as a "release" or "materials".

The Label (and by proxy the Artist) only holds copyright on for-profit, original music only, unless specified otherwise, and all copyright to music videos, merchandise, artist branding, and more, unless specified otherwise. Any and all SoundCloud releases are not copyrighted, and are not released for a profit, unless the Artist were to request they be. In the case that the Artist were to request that a SoundCloud release be profitable, they may inquire directly to the Label and, unless specified otherwise, we will push their release onto major storefronts, including, but not limited to; Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Tidal, iHeart, and more. All trademarks and copyright to their respective holders.

The Label is a non-profit record label. The Label does not see a single penny of revenue, and we guarantee that the Artist will be paid what they earn from streams, merchandise sales, music video profits, and artist branding.

Any and all artists wishing to use the Parental Advisory Label (PAL) must inquire with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Please contact the Label directly, and from there we will have the Artist fill out the PAL sticker application from the RIAA. We do not handle matters associated with the RIAA directly, the Label only serves as a middleman, the Artist must fill out the application and send it to the RIAA on their own. Please go here to learn more about the PAL sticker and what it means. If and when approved, please show the Label RIAA approval of the PAL sticker, afterwards you will be free to use the PAL sticker on any releases or material you wish. However, under this label, the PAL sticker is required for all storefront releases if the contents of a release or materials were to contain materials unfavorable for children (including vulgar or crass language or actions, references or depictions of extreme violence or gore in any form, sex or sexual acts, drugs or drug use, alcohol or alcohol use). Please also note, regarding the PAL sticker, you adhere to the guidelines of the Label AND the RIAA (simply put, don't put it on your merchandise other than physical releases, and also do not distort or modify the label greatly).

All artists must be at least over the age of 16 to apply. We really don't know how we are gonna do taxes here, but we'll make it work somehow. When we find out how, we will post here. We use a distributor known as Distrokid (referred to as "the Distributor") to push releases onto storefronts (trademarks and copyrights to respective holder). The Distributor can take anywhere from 4-14 days to process releases and push it onto storefronts. The Artist must plan their release ahead of time, and submit all files to us directly at least 14 days before their desired release date (this includes music recordings and cover art, as well as music and writing credits). From there we will upload files to the Distributor, where they will release it onto storefronts within 4-14 days, hopefully in time for intended release. The Label is not liable for missed or late release dates, and the Distributor is not legally liable by proxy. The Label will NOT release any copyrighted material to the Distributor unless it is cleared for sample or performed strictly as a cover (if you have copyrighted material and sample clearance, you must show this information when uploading your files before release). All other materials released to major platforms will be copyright of the Artist and the Label. The Label does not own your music, it only enforces your copyright if there is to be a violation.

The Label may drop the Artist if any of the following infractions may occur; failure to comply to Label and RIAA guidelines a multitude of times regarding the PAL sticker, including unapproved use of the sticker, failure to comply to Label guidelines on copyrighted material, which includes failure to inform Label on included copyrighted material before a major release, any attempt to profit from SoundCloud releases without the Label's knowledge (unless specified otherwise), and unnecessary behavior expressed online or in-person, of which the Label will dictate expulsion based on severity.

These guidelines, policies, and information will change as necessary or as the Label sees fit. Thank you for your time.
