Interested in making a real impact in your community? Start a Neuro Aid chapter at your school or in your area. Our mission is to raise awareness about epilepsy, fundraise for the Epilepsy Foundation, and create helpful, easy-to-understand videos to spread awareness. If this sounds like something you're passionate about, we'd love for you to join the team.
Mission
Spreading awareness about epilepsy
Raising funds to support the Epilepsy Foundation
Organizing creative and engaging volunteer projects
What We Expect
We ask that each chapter commits to:
Hosting regular fundraisers (about once a month)
Leading awareness sessions every couple of months (once every 2 months is great)
Chapter Identity
We recommend using purple in your branding and events since it represents epilepsy awareness. This isn’t a strict rule, but it helps tie everything together.
Support and Resources
You won’t be doing this alone. Once you start a chapter:
You’ll get access to our shared Google Drive with presentations, event ideas, and templates
You’ll be connected with our CCO (Chief Communications Officer) if you need help with outreach, graphics, or anything else
How to Get Started
Create an Instagram account for your chapter (optional — if you'd rather not, we can feature your updates on our main account)
Recruit a few members
Host an interest meeting to get others involved
Plan and run your first project! (Fundraiser or Awareness Session or Recoding experiences of people with Epilepsy)
Tracking Impact
It’s important for us to keep track of what every chapter is doing, so please:
Log your events, funds raised, and volunteer hours in the shared Google Drive
Send us photos and updates so we can highlight your work on our website and socials
