CEO/Founder
Hi! I’m Ananya Banda, the Founder and CEO of Neuro Aid, a student-led initiative focused on neuroscience education, epilepsy awareness, advocacy, and community service.
I started Neuro Aid after learning about the experience of a close friend living with epilepsy. I wanted to make neurological conditions more understandable, reduce the stigma surrounding them, and create opportunities for students to make a meaningful difference.
As Founder & CEO, I oversee Neuro Aid’s operations, outreach, and communications. I manage our main social media presence and website, lead our student research sessions alongside Hetvi, and work with Boomi to plan, coordinate, and schedule events. I also lead volunteers during events, support our student chapters, develop community partnerships, and reach out to local organizations, researchers, and healthcare communities to expand Neuro Aid’s impact.
Through Neuro Aid, I’ve been able to bring together my passions for neuroscience, medicine, leadership, research, and service. Outside of Neuro Aid, I’m passionate about research, volunteering, badminton, photography, and travel. I volunteer with Ability Connection and the American Red Cross, explore healthcare through shadowing, and love discovering new places and capturing the moments along the way.
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
I am part of NeuroAid because I’m passionate about raising epilepsy awareness and encouraging others through creative communication. As the Chief Marketing Officer, I help shape the organization’s message, design outreach strategies, and manage campaigns that promote our mission and events. I enjoy combining creativity in branding, storytelling, and social media design with strategic planning and teamwork to help the organization reach more people. Outside of school, I have reached the senior level in my dance academy and help teach beginner and intermediate students. I also enjoy volunteering in my community and exploring new social media strategies for creative initiatives.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
I’m part of NeuroAid because I’m passionate about raising awareness for epilepsy and supporting those affected in meaningful ways. I want to contribute to making a positive impact in my community and helping others feel seen and supported. I bring leadership, quadrilingual abilities, a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a creative approach to problem-solving, which I use to help make events, fundraisers, and community programs run smoothly and successfully. Outside of school, I enjoy dancing, reading, and exploring new ways to volunteer and give back to my community. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference alongside a team of motivated and caring people.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
I am part of NeuroAid because I’m passionate about using technology to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially those affected by epilepsy. As the Chief Technology Officer, I help manage the organization’s digital presence, create tools to support fundraising and awareness campaigns, and make sure our online systems run smoothly. I enjoy combining my technical skills, such as coding, web design, and data analysis, with leadership and problem-solving to help the team achieve its goals. Outside of school, I like to work on personal coding projects, learn about emerging technologies, and volunteer in my community, which helps me continue growing both as a student and as a changemaker.
