We are interested in understanding how reorganization of the brain following an acquired language disorder (aphasia; traumatic brain injury) correlates with language ability and recovery
We use MRI to acquire high resolution images of the brain, which allows us to explore:
- how the brain looks (structure: areas of the brain)
- how it is connected (structure: white matter)
- how it functions (functionality: how areas talk to each other whilst at rest and during a task)

Investigating the relationship of brain damage (like a stroke) on the relationship between brain areas (functional connectivity) and how damage to those functional relationships is related to function
