About Us

What is NetZero PLUS?

NetZeroPLUS Canada is a non-profit organization that supports the pathway to net zero emissions.  Based out of Ottawa, NetZeroPLUS Canada is next to the action where representatives from across Canada gather to make laws that affect the lives of every Canadian.

NetZeroPLUS Canada is led by Bill Eggertson, co-founder and President, and David Wilson, Vice President, who formed the organization in 2022.  Bill and David have been involved in the clean energy sector for many years; David with GeoPhysics, Remote Sensing, and Ottawa Energy Evolution, while Bill has directed the Earth Energy Society of Canada, Canadian Chapter of IGSHPA, and the canadian association for renewable energies (we c.a.r.e.) among others.  They launched the organization with the aim of increasing awareness of barriers that prevent the adoption of clean energy technologies from being qualified as renewable energy.

Our Goal

One of the barriers slowing down the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy technologies is the use of two systems of measurement.  Energy is currently being measured in more than one system of measurement: Btu, horsepower, therm, quad, ton, calorie, cubic foot, etc.  Clean technologies that produce thermal energy for space and water heating currently use tons of cooling load as the system of measurement but must speak in 'electric-ese' by quantifying their capacty in kW and their output in kWh, in order to be qualified as a renewable source of energy. Our goal is to bring awareness to these measures as key factors in the national analysis of energy production & energy consumption, and GHG emission reductions.
