the construction festival was organized by the Southwest Jiao tong University, with participation from multiple universities from Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland China participating in it. This annual festival is a comprehensive program for students to learn modern designing with competition. Students from different universities join & show their designing & construction capabilities. In the end professional expert and university professors will evaluate and provide professional comments and guidance. And to encourage the students’ skill committee will give awards according to their performance. Students design and build different models, e.g. a pavilion that looks heavy but weighs only 120 catties. Without using a nail or a drop of glue, it can be dismantled within an hour. The design took inspiration from the traditional log construction system.

after producing the products, they need to be carved from the bottom with the help of tool and needs to dry. For this you can also use hair dryer, but ideal option is air drying. When the item is solid you can start with painting. There are special kind of paints used for pottery. After painting it is left for drying up to 36 to 48 hours until the pot looks white and fragile. Later it is put inside the kiln at baked at 1305 degree Celsius. And the pot is ready!
