Meet our tutors

We have 90+ tutors that can tutor NEST+m students from grades K-8. They can help with reading, writing, math, history, language (for middle grades), and general homework help. These tutors act as mentors for kids and are academically gifted and experienced with children. ​

K-5 after school tutoring occurs Tuesdays after school from 2:45PM - 3:45PM in the Library.  Upper grade tutors are trained and paired up with K-5 buddies to offer homework help, mentorship, and unforgettable friendship.  We ensure that our tutor-tutee pairings are based on mutual interest so that they can connect effectively.

 Tutoring can happen before school and after school in the building depending on special accommodations/requests from teachers and parents. ​ 

Tutoring for grades K-5 during period 7 typically runs with our partner initiative, Book Buddies. This is when upper grade tutors come into K-5 classrooms during their 7th period lunch to help teachers in classrooms and also interact with the kids

We have 49+ ELA tutors for upper grades peer tutoring. Sessions can happen before school, during 7th-period lunch, and/or after school, depending on your availability. We have tutors for English 9, English 10, AP English Language, English 12, Advanced Creative Writing, and Literacy Theory.

We have 65+ math tutors for upper grades peer tutoring. Sessions can happen before school, during 7th-period lunch, and/or after school, depending on your availability. We have tutors for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, Computer Science, and AP Computer Science.

We have 50+ science tutors for upper grades peer tutoring. Sessions can happen before school, during 7th-period lunch, and/or after school, depending on your availability. We have tutors for Regents Physics, Regents Chemistry, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, Experimental Chemistry, and Environmental Biology.

We have 45+ social studies tutors for upper grades peer tutoring. Sessions can happen before school, during 7th-period lunch, and/or after school, depending on your availability. We have tutors for Global History, AP World History, AP US History, Regents US History, AP Psychology, Contemporary World Affairs, and Economics and Government.

We have 48+ world language tutors for upper grades peer tutoring. Sessions can happen before school, during 7th-period lunch, and/or after school, depending on your availability. We have around 30 tutors for Spanish and 10 tutors for Mandarin. We have tutors for Spanish 1, 2, and 3 as well as Mandarin 1, 2, and 3.
