DISEC is a key committee of the UN General Assembly, tasked with addressing global security issues, disarmament, and threats to international peace. It debates topics like arms control, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, and regional conflicts. The committee aims to foster cooperation among countries to reduce military threats and promote peace.

SHC focuses on social, humanitarian, and cultural issues around the world. It works to promote human rights, address social injustices, and improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations. The committee also tackles issues such as education, healthcare, gender equality, and cultural preservation.
