Terms of Service for Nero: Pet Care Manager

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Nero - Pet Care Manager ("Nero," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Nero, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About Nero

Nero is developed and operated by an individual developer, not a registered company. Throughout these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to that individual developer.

Nero is a mobile application that helps you organize and track information about your pets, including profiles, vaccine and veterinary appointments, weight history, daily care routines, and nearby veterinary clinics. Some features are available for free; others require an optional Premium subscription (see Section 5).

2. Not Veterinary or Medical Advice

Nero is an organizational tool, not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

• The reminders, records, and information you store in Nero are based entirely on information you enter — Nero does not verify, diagnose, or provide any medical or veterinary advice.

• Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any questions about your pet's health, vaccinations, medications, diet, or medical treatment.

• Do not rely on Nero's reminders as your sole method of managing time-sensitive medical care (e.g., medication schedules). Notifications may be delayed or not delivered due to device settings, connectivity, or operating system behavior beyond our control.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nero. If you are using Nero on behalf of a family member or under a Family Sharing arrangement, a parent or guardian remains responsible for that use.

4. Your Account and Data

Nero does not require you to create an account with us. Your pet profiles, records, and preferences are stored locally on your device and synced through your own personal iCloud account, as described in our [Privacy Policy].

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you enter into Nero

• Keeping your device and iCloud account secure

• Any data you choose to delete, which may be permanently and irreversibly removed (including from iCloud)

5. Premium Subscription

Nero offers an optional, auto-renewing Premium subscription (Monthly or Yearly) that unlocks additional features such as multi-pet support, Daily Routines with widgets, weight charts, and the Nearby Vets locator.

• Billing. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

• Renewal. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to at purchase (subject to change with notice as required by Apple's policies).

• Managing or Cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID account settings, on your device, after purchase. Deleting Nero from your device does not cancel your subscription.

• No Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's own policies, not by us directly.

• Pricing Disclaimer. Pricing shown in the app reflects the prices configured through the App Store and may vary by region and over time.

6. Location Services

The Nearby Vets feature uses your device's location, with your permission, to search for nearby veterinary clinics using Apple Maps (MapKit). Clinic names, hours, contact details, and distances are provided by Apple's mapping data and third-party listings we do not control or verify. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or current operating status of any clinic shown in the app — please confirm details directly with the clinic before relying on them, especially in an emergency.

7. Notifications

Nero schedules local notifications on your device for reminders you set up (appointments, routines, weight check-ins). These are generated entirely on-device. We are not responsible for notifications that are delayed, suppressed, or not delivered due to device settings, low power mode, operating system limitations, or any other factor outside our control.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Nero for any unlawful purpose

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app

• Interfere with the app's normal operation or other users' use of the app

9. Intellectual Property

Nero, including its design, logo, graphics, and original content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on Nero without our prior written permission. Information about your own pets that you enter remains yours.

10. Third-Party Services

Nero relies on services provided by Apple, including iCloud/CloudKit (data sync), MapKit (location search), and StoreKit (subscription billing). Your use of these services is also subject to Apple's own terms and policies.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Nero is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will never be lost.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including missed reminders, data loss, or harm to a pet — arising from your use of, or inability to use, Nero. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using Nero at any time, including by deleting the app or using the "Delete My Data" option in Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue any part of the app, with or without notice, particularly in cases of misuse.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as Nero evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Nero after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your own country of residence provide otherwise.
