Narayan and Mister Adhikari
Mister Adhikari (Milan on the right), the owner of Himalayan Spirit Adventure Treks and Expeditions, set up an amazing 18 day package a day after we arrived in Kathmandu. His brother in law, Narayan met us at the airport when we arrived. He mentioned that they have great tours for Nepal. He made arrangements to pick us up the next day to discuss possible travel packages. We figured that we would shop around, since we didn't make arrangments back home for tours. We normally plan ahead, but figured we would talk to travel agents when we got to Kathmandu since we had time. When we got to the office, we listened to Mister Adhikari's package opportunities and thought that they sounded amazing. He is seasoned in travel and he made us feel welcomed and comfortable. He had an awesome sense of humor, which put us at ease. We realized we were taking a risk but it paid off.
He set us up with amazing tours. We enjoyed all of our personal guides and the drivers were very professional. I can’t imagine trying to drive in Nepal. These drivers are true professionals. We bonded with the 2 major guides, Laxman and Ganesh. We had Laxman for over a week. We thoroughly enjoyed him as one of our guides. I hope to keep in touch with him and if we ever came back to Nepal, we would want him as our guide. He is experienced in trekking, so I would ask for him as your trekking guide if you want someone who is personable, funny and knowledgeable. We had Ganesh as our city guide. He was always making us laugh and once he figured out our interests, he accommodated us. He took us to places off the beaten path, which was truly delightful. He is also someone I would recommend as a guide. This trip will be a memory I will never forget. I can’t imagine navigating Nepal without personal guides. It is worth every penny.
At the end of our event, we got to go to a cultural dinner with Narayan and Mister Adhikari (Milan). There was music, dancing and traditional food. We shared what we enjoyed and some frustrations with Mister Adhikari and Narayan so that he can learn and grow to make his travel company even better. I was happy we were able to be honest with Mister Adhikari. He has amazing customer service, which is always important in this business.
