Australian Camp

While staying in Pokhara, we went to the Australian Camp, which was one of my favorite places. We drove about 30 minutes and then hiked up to the camp. For us, we had to stop a few times to rest. When we got to the Australian Camp we were excited about being there. We were greeted by one of the primary workers who happens to be from Tibet. He shared his stories with us and we bought some beautiful jewelry from him. There were other Tibetans that we gladly supported. You can check out our gallery by visiting our hike to the camp from Kande. You can view our stay at the camp and then check out our hike back down to Dhampus. To us, the hike down was strenuous but the views were amazing. Paul had to stop a few times because he said his legs felt like jelly. Considering I had knee surgery a couple of years ago, I was concerned about causing damage going down the steep stairs for more than 3 miles. Amazingly, bloggers talk about how easy the hike is. I am like, are we talking about the same trail.
