If you're a lifelong resident of Scranton (or another nearby town), we want to talk with you!
We're conducting in-person conversational interviews with natives who:
(1) have resided continuously in Scranton (or another town in Lackawanna County) until at least the age of 18
(2) have spent no more than 7 years outside of Lackawanna County
Conversations typically take place in our office space in Urban Co-Works in downtown Scranton (116 N Washington Ave.), though we can arrange to come to you if traveling is difficult. We're primarily interested in learning about you, your thoughts on Scranton and its environs, and whether the city has changed over your lifetime. This project aims to study the ways of living, being, and talking that define the Scranton Metropolitan area. More details about the project can be found on the 'About the project' and 'FAQ' pages of this website.
You will be compensated with a $15 digital gift card if you participate.
