Who can participate?

We are looking for people who have:

1. Lived in Scranton until (at least) the age of 18

2. Spent no more than 7 years total away from Lackawanna County 

We are especially interested in talking with people who have spent their entire lives in Scranton, but as long as you meet the criteria above, you qualify!

What do the interviews involve?

The "interviews" are intended to be casual and informal conversations, and we hope you'll do most of the talking! 

We're mostly interested in learning about you and your life in Scranton. You'll also be asked to read a short wordlist at the end of our conversation, and you'll fill out a short survey about some of your hobbies and interests. 

We expect meetings to last between 45mins to 1.5 hours, depending on how talkative you are!

Where do the interviews take place?

Interviews are in-person only. And because they'll be audio-recorded, they need to take place in a quiet location. We typically hold interviews in our office-space in Urban Co-Works in downtown Scranton (116 N Washington Ave.) We are also more than happy to come to your home, if that would be preferable to you.
