A Drop-In Anchor is a female expansion anchor inserted into a pre-drilled hole in concrete. It consists of a metal body with internal threads and a pre-installed expansion plug (cone). When the setting tool is used, the cone is driven into the anchor body, expanding the outer sleeve against the hole wall and locking it in place.

This anchor is ideal where a surface-flush fixing point is required and where bolts may need to be inserted and removed repeatedly.
