"When I first signed up for AP biology, my school got a new teacher, and I knew I needed to find a biology tutor. I tried a couple of biology tutors, but I ended up choosing Dr. Rani when one of my old chemistry tutors recommended her to me. Ever since I first met Dr. Rani, I began to understand biology conceptually, and I felt more confident navigating through the AP Biology curriculum. New to teaching, my teacher at school didn’t teach the concepts that well in class, and the concepts weren’t clicking. Since I started taking Dr. Rani’s classes, I started to understand biology conceptually. When the book’s words wouldn’t paint a clear enough picture, she would draw pictures/diagrams to help me visually understand complex processes. Dr. Rani would also go out of her way outside of class to call me or text me back whenever I had any biology-related questions or needed help in my biology labs. Every time she assigned me homework, Dr. Rani would correct my homework online and then go over it again in the beginning of the next class to ensure my understanding. Before any unit test I had, she would go off of our scheduled curriculum to create a practice test to help me better prepare and perform in my class. On top of this, Dr. Rani is a very patient and understanding teacher. Whether a topic took some time to connect in my brain or I would have to reschedule classes, Dr. Rani worked with me to figure out what the next step was. I ended AP Bio with an A in my first semester, and so far, in my second semester, I still have an A. Dr. Rani really does care about teaching her students and it shows through her consistent effort of sharing helpful videos, posting announcements on Google Classroom, and texting me reminders to complete my homework. She even records all the Zoom classes in case I need to review an old concept. "These classes provided me with a good understanding of concepts. Since we were ahead of school schedule, I found it easier to absorb things taught in school. I appreciated the variability of questions on homework assignments because they helped prepare for the test in school. The most difficult topics in this course are unit 3, which focuses on cellular energetics, and unit 5, which focuses on Heredity. These classes did help understanding concepts. Aunty was never hesitant to explain concepts as many times as needed in order for students to understand. She was always willing to spend time outside of class to explain questions. "These classes helped me overcome my challenges of understanding biology and helped me be ahead of my school. The classes were very interactive and ensured I was able to understand the topics through them. I like how the classes were structured, everything was done in a very ordered manner and clear to understand. I also like to small games and experiments we would play in the classes. 

I think the most difficult topics were photosynthesis and cellular respiration. These classes did help me understand the concepts because the textbook was kind of confusing to understand in this unit, and having the class was a good base and helped me gain a solid understanding of the topic. The classes go in a very step by step structure. I also like how the classes are recorded, so you can watch the video later to finish your notes and understanding. "I think the classes are great. I feel it is a comprehensive class with both interactive instruction as well as lots of resources for the AP exam. The classes helped me gain a better conceptual understanding of the concepts as well as a better interpretation of MCQs and FRQs application-wise. I liked that there were relevant analogies to relate to easily. I think the most difficult topics for me were parts of the cell and macromolecules.
