About This Page:
This page highlights mutual aid campaigns led by Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC), as well as members of other marginalized communities. Our goal is to amplify these efforts and foster collective support. If you would like your mutual aid campaign to be featured, please reach out to us. "We can help you raise cash from the community for urgent needs. Since 2020, our volunteer Direct Giving group has responded to about 120 requests for aid. We help in one or more of these ways: offer information on local resources that may help with specific needs, referral to community groups and agencies that offer assistance, give cash from Montclair Mutual Aid donors, or do a crowdfunding campaign on social media directly for individual recipients, (on pause as of September 2022, while we raise more funds within the Montclair area community), publicize and promote individuals’ existing crowdfunding campaigns in social media."
"Mutual Aid NYC is a multi-racial network of people and groups building support systems for people in the New York City area. We work at a citywide level to help those actively working in communities find the people and resources they need to do their work. We believe that this access will help them provide mutual aid, advocacy, and services to as many people as possible—now and in the future."
