As the school year comes to a close, we want to thank you for the passion, creativity, and dedication you’ve poured into your students and productions. The work happening across Nebraska is truly inspiring, and it’s an honor to celebrate it with you.

Leadership Workshop Registration is Open

Start the year strong by joining us for the Nebraska Thespians Leadership Workshop on August 8th at Blair High School! This is an incredible opportunity for student leaders to build skills, connect with other troupes, and help shape the year ahead.

Through workshops, activities, and collaboration, students will grow as leaders and bring new ideas back to their programs. We encourage every troupe to attend and invest in the future of their student leadership. Our first meeting of the year will also be a part of this workshop

Omaha Community Theatre Technical Theatre Apprenticeship Program

HELLO and GREETINGS from the Omaha Community Playhouse Education Department! We would like to share some information with you concerning our Technical Theatre Apprenticeship Program (TTAP) in the hopes that you might have that special kiddo who LOVES all things Tech Theatre. Registration is currently open on our website for the TTAP program.

TTAP is a two-year program designed for high school & early college students. Apprentices are given comprehensive insight into the technical careers of the entertainment industry through a blend of classroom and hands-on shop training. Apprentices work alongside master craftsmen and professionals to develop a cross-disciplinary foundation and focused training. Through TTAP, apprentices create outstanding production values and acquire the skills that make them competitive in the entertainment industry. Apprentices from our past cohorts have gone on to have careers backstage at Cirque de Soleil and even Broadway.

December 9th 2026- Tenaska Center Omaha

Festival 2027- January 7-9pm

February 10th 2027- Lincoln Southwest
