NDOA Top Tips

  • Please be alert to the rest needs of colleagues and to your own. Can you enable someone to rest for a while? Even a few minutes can really help.

  • When you do have a few minutes, consider whether you can get outside. The JR site has green spaces where you can walk in a suitably socially distant manner. Fresh air will help.

  • Be intentional with the messages you hear and give. Simple, specific encouragement can make a huge difference to a colleague (if genuine).

  • Consider bringing food and drink treats to work that can keep you going in the dips (nice snacks, water bottle, great coffee, whatever you will enjoy).

  • Consider bringing toiletries eg if you want to have a shower or end up staying later than planned at work.

  • Keeping a journal allowing you to look back on how much you've achieved during this time can be uplifting and useful in the future.

  • Appropriate no-clincal photo memories can help you and others reflect on the many changes we are all experiencing.

  • Begining and end of day catch ups with your immediate team.

  • Take time to enjoy things away from work where you can.
