Sigma Alpha is rooted in four pillars; scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. These pillars influence chapter events, sisterhood values, and are a commonality that brings together chapters across the nation. We also place emphasis on sisterhood and agriculture as Sigma Alpha's mission is "Cultivating Professional Women in Agriculture"
Sigma Alpha emphasizes excellent scholarship of all its members through academic help on the chapter level and several scholarships on the chapter and national level recognizing sisters and chapters that have excelled.
Sigma Alpha members work diligently to engage in leadership activities that will not only advance their professional career but provide a set of skills that will serve them in their extracurricular activities.
Sisterhood is an important aspect of our chapter and we strive to create bonds of friendship among our members. Our chapter also looks to create relationships with other organizations across campus and to network in our community.
Sigma Alpha sisters are actively engaged in making their college, community, state and nation a better place through a multitude of service projects. The national service project is Ag in the Classroom and every chapter completes a service project with them each year.
