According to Ordinance No. 2010-063 Section 6, to continue the full benefit under this program, the scholar shall maintain a semestral average of at least 2.0 or 85% without dropping, failing, or incomplete grades in any subject.
For others who are likewise given scholarship assistance, they are nonetheless required to maintain a semestral average of at least 2.5 or 80% without dropping, failing, or incomplete grade in any subject.
The scholar must attend events that are organized by the Naga City Scholars Guild.
Yes, scholars are required to attend events organized by the NCSG. These events are categorized into major and minor events. Attendance at major events is mandatory, while attendance at minor events is strongly encouraged.
Failure to attend a major event without a valid excuse will result in a fine of ₱100. If excused, a fine of ₱50 will still be imposed. For minor events, fines and attendance policies may vary.
If you are unable to attend an event, you must inform your group leader beforehand and provide a valid reason. Depending on the reason, you may either be marked as excused or absent.
Scholarship benefits are released every semester. The claiming dates are typically announced through official communication channels.
For scholars enrolled in private universities: The scholarship funds are paid directly to the university, reducing your tuition fees accordingly.
For scholars enrolled in public universities (State Universities and Colleges): You can claim your scholarship funds in person at the City Hall Cashier, located at the main building's entrance. Bring a valid ID for verification. If you are unavailable, a representative may claim the funds on your behalf, provided they present a notarized Special Power of Attorney (SPA).
It happens every semester of the school year.
To renew you scholarship:
Prepare all the required documents for renewal
Go to the ESSO Office- Scholarship Division, during working hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
Make sure to renew within the official renewal period

For grades above 1.50 (incentives):
Two copies of valid ID

You must secure a certification that is addressed to ESSO Department Head from your professor, duly signed by your college dean that your grade is not failed or 5.0.

Clearance is a process where you confirm that all your obligations to the Naga City Scholars Guild have been fulfilled. This includes attending required events, settling monthly dues, and paying any fines. It is required to ensure you are in good standing with the guild and to allow you to proceed with your scholarship renewal.

Academic incentives are rewards given to scholars who excel in their studies by meeting or exceeding the required General Weighted Average (GWA). These incentives aim to recognize and motivate outstanding academic performance.
To qualify, you must achieve a GWA of 93% or higher. This corresponds to:
93% = 1.50
95% = 1.25
