What we do:

Although we are the highway patrol, that is not all that we do. As a LEO of the highway patrol, you will have full jurisdiction state wide. This means that you may patrol anywhere throughout North Carolina. You must be able to drive from the city to the country for an emergency call in a safe and timely manner. We do everything from handling public disturbances to responding to bank robbery. If there is a call, we are the ones responding and usually arriving first on scene.

Our mission:

 The North Carolina State Highway Patrol's primary mission is to reduce collisions and make the highways of North Carolina as safe as possible.

Our future goal is to grow in such a way that we can have continuous patrol units always scattered throughout the state so that when danger calls, we are on the scene immediately.
