Mental Health Workshops for School Staff

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is sponsoring free workshops to support the health, well-being and resilience of school staff.

Employee Mental Health Toolkit Training

North Carolina Healthy Schools Employee Mental Health Toolkit Training

Thursday, Feb. 16, 3-4 p.m.
Monday, March 13, Noon-1 p.m.

By understanding the importance of mental well-being and recognizing the physical, mental, emotional and social symptoms in themselves and others, administrators, other managers, teachers and staff can ultimately prevent burnout. In turn, they are likely to have a workforce with lower levels of stress, improved school employee attendance, lower levels of employee turnover, and an increased ability to model positive emotions for students. The North Carolina Healthy Schools Employee Mental Health Toolkit adds an important systemic layer of prevention and intervention in a coordinated way. During this session, participants will review the resources compiled in the toolkit that are available to school employees and administrators.

Register for the toolkit training.
