At NCCA FCCLA, we are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our members who demonstrate leadership, creativity, and a strong commitment to service. From competitive events to community involvement, our chapter continues to shine at the local, region, state, and national levels. This page highlights the accomplishments of our dedicated members and celebrates the impact they have made through their hard work and passion for FCCLA.
The 2022–2023 school year was an exciting and impactful year for NCCA FCCLA. Our chapter saw incredible growth in membership, increased participation in community service projects, and strong representation at competitive events. Members stepped up as leaders, collaborated on meaningful initiatives, and built lasting memories through local and state-level activities. From hosting school-wide drives to attending leadership conferences, NCCA FCCLA made a difference both on campus and in the community. The successes of this year laid a strong foundation for continued excellence and leadership in the years to come.
Sierra Blackshear Named CTAE Student of the Year
(District)
Congratulations to Sierra Blackshear for being honored as the Newton County CTAE Student of the Year in the area of Early Childhood Education. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for helping children made her a standout among her peers, and this recognition reflects her outstanding commitment to both her career pathway and FCCLA.
Members Advance to State Leadership Competition
(Regional)
After a strong showing at the Region Competition, multiple NCCA FCCLA members advanced to the State Leadership Conference. Their hard work, preparation, and confidence showcased the excellence of our chapter and the talent within our school.
Holiday Toy Drive Success (Local)
NCCA FCCLA organized a holiday toy drive to support a local shelter, collecting dozens of toys to brighten the season for children in need. Thanks to the generosity of our students and staff, the chapter met its goal and helped make the holidays special for many families in the community.
FCCLA Officer Installation Ceremony
(Local)
The 2022–2023 NCCA FCCLA Officer Team was officially installed during a special chapter ceremony. These student leaders took on the responsibility of guiding the chapter with professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the school year.
Sierra Blackshear Selected as Region Officer
(State)
In addition to her local leadership, Sierra Blackshear was named one of the 2022–2023 Region Officers for Georgia FCCLA. Her appointment reflected her outstanding leadership and commitment to FCCLA at both the chapter and regional levels.
Fall Leadership Conference Participation and Awards
(State)
NCCA FCCLA proudly sent a strong delegation to the Fall Leadership Conference, where members attended engaging workshops, networked with peers across the state, and returned with well-earned awards and experiences that inspired future chapter activities.
Safe Driving Awareness Activity
(Local)
Promoting road safety among teens, NCCA FCCLA hosted a safe driving awareness event that encouraged students to take the pledge for safe driving. The campaign was a success, with multiple students committing to responsible driving habits and helping spread awareness across the school.
National Leadership Conference 2023
(National)
Two groups out of the NCCA FCCLA chapter made it to the FCCLA nationals and competed in the Repurpose and Redesign category. Emily and Addison competed in level two and received a silver rating. Kayla and Madison competed in level 3 and received a gold rating. In their spare time, the chapter enjoyed traveling around Denver and exploring different restaurants. Congratulations to both groups!
Regional STAR Events Competition
Our NCCA FCCLA chapter proudly competed at the regional competition, showcasing our members’ hard work and dedication. We’re excited to share that many of our competitors advanced to the state level, and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments!
