NCCAE winter geometry class open for registration
Geometry is the best course for students to obtain systematic training on logical thinking in mathematics. Many students do not have a good chance to get proper training in logical reasoning at school. This course will teach students basic elements in Geometry, the properties and relationships among those elements. These elements include lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles and solid shapes. In addition to basic concepts in Geometry, logical reasoning will be emphasized during the progress. The course will also teach students how to prove a Geometric proposition in a formal way with reasons for each step. After this course, students will be well trained and prepared for high level math learning.

MNCCS/NCCAE hosts math contest series 2025-2026 School Year
MNCCS.NCCAE will continue to partner with Northville Middle School to offer multiple math and computer competitions in 2025 ~ 2026 school year:
Canadian Jay Mathematical Competition (CLMC) is a Canadian math competition open to students in grade K-12. It is based on the Canadian grades 7-11 math curriculum. It is 90 minutes long and consisting 15 multiple-choice questions.
Test date: 10/2/2025. (Cost: $25 per test, register by 9/21/2025)

Canadian Open Mathematical Competition (COMC) is Canada's premier national math competition and open to students in grade 7 to 12. The COMC is the only way to be invited to the CMS’ free, exclusive training camps. The questions are based on the standard Canadian mathematics curriculum for senior secondary grades and Cégeps. It is 150 minutes long and consisting both free responses and proof problems.
Test date: 10/30/2025. (Cost: $50 per student, need at least 5 registered participants)

ACSL: American Computer Science League (ACSL) organizes computer programming and computer science contests for K-12 graders. Each season is divided into four contests, testing students on fundamental concepts in computer science, ranging from Number Systems to Boolean Algebra to Digital Electronics. In the upper divisions, each contest also includes a problem to solve by programming using Python, C++ or Java. (Cost for all 4 tests: $20 for Elementary division G3-G6, $30 for Junior division G6-G9, Intermediate and Senior division (G9 and above)).
Tentative Test Dates: (on Thursdays)Test #1~4: from Dec. to March.

Math Kangaroo is a 24 ~ 30 question, 75 minutes, multiple choice examination. (Cost: $18, paid directly to Math Kangaroo).
Test date: 3/19/2026.
We are open to registration for these contests starting this Sunday, please go to MNCCS office (Liberal Arts Building, Room 420, 18600 Haggerty Rd, Livonia, MI 48152) to do the registration and pay the fee accordingly (cash or check only) in the following Sundays:
9/7, 2pm ~ 5pm
9/14, 1pm ~ 5pm
9/21, 1pm ~ 5pm
9/28, 1pm ~ 5pm
I would also like to reiterate that MNCCS, Meads Mill and Hillside Math clubs are committed to the integrity of these tests and will confront any attempts to undermine the test security, any violation will be reported to the school and the competition administration organizations.

NCCAE 2025 Summer semester opens for registration!
We are excited to announce that NCCAE will be offering a summer session for students of all ages! This program will run from June to August and will provide a unique opportunity for students to improve their in the areas in arts, chess, English, math, computer and Chinese.
2025 summer semester will run from June to August, please see the schedule for details. Most of the classes will be in-person at every Saturday while some will stay virtual. ( The actual class time may vary, please refer to class info on the Courses page for details).
All classes will be taught in a fun and supportive environment, with a focus on hands-on learning and practical skills.
Our summer session is open to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. We encourage students who are new to our school to join us for the summer and experience the benefits of learning and having fun in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Course Plan: This course needs a total of 22 lessons to cover the entire contents, starting from early January until end of May. After completing this course, the student can continue to take Algebra-2 class in the following summer/fall session.
The course will follow the structure in math text books published by McGraw-Hill.
