MNCCS and NCCAE will continue to partner with Meads Mill and Hillside to offer multiple math and computer competitions in 2024 ~ 2025 school year:

1. Canadian Jay Mathematical Competition (CLMC) is a Canadian math competition open to students in grade K-12. It is based on the Canadian grades 7-11 math curriculum. It is 90 minutes long and consisting 15 multiple-choice questions. 

Test date: 10/3/2024. (Cost: $25 per test)

2. Canadian Open Mathematical Competition (COMC) is Canada's premier national math competition and open to students in grade 7 to 12. The COMC is the only way to be invited to the CMS’ free, exclusive training camps. The questions are based on the standard Canadian mathematics curriculum for senior secondary grades and Cégeps. It is 150 minutes long and consisting both free responses and proof problems. 

Test date: 10/30/2024. (Cost: $50 per student, need at least 5 registered participants)

3. Canadian Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC) is a Canadian math competition open to students in grade K-8. It is 90 minutes long and consisting 15 multiple-choice questions. 

Test date: 11/21/2024. (cost: $25 per test)

4. AMC-8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination. Open to K-8 students (Cost: $10). 

Test date is between 1/22 ~ 1/28 (TBD).

5. AMC-10A/B is a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examination, and the student can participate both A and B tests. Open to K-10 students (Cost: $10 per test). 

Test dates are Nov. 6th (A) and Nov. 12th (B).

Note: One can't participate AMC-10A and 12A in the same year, or 10B and 12B in the same year. However, the student can participate AMC-10A and AMC-10B, or AMC-10A and AMC-12B, or AMC-10B and AMC-12A in the same year.

6.  AMC-12A/B is a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examination, and the student can participate both A and B tests. Open to K-12 students (Cost: $10 per test).

7. Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools) has total 5 tests, one for each month from November to March. Each test has 5 free-answer questions. (Cost: $20 for all 5 tests).

Test #1~5: 11/14/2024, 12/12/2024, 1/9/2025, 2/13/2025, 3/6/2025 or 3/13/2025

8. American Computer Science League (ACSL) organizes computer programming and computer science contests for K-12 graders. Each season is divided into four contests, testing students on fundamental concepts in computer science, ranging from Number Systems to Boolean Algebra to Digital Electronics. In the upper divisions, each contest also includes a problem to solve by programming using Python, C++ or Java. (Cost for all 4 tests: $20 for Elementary division G3-G6, $30 for Junior division G6-G9).

9. Math Kangaroo is a 24 ~ 30 question, 75 minutes, multiple choice examination. (Cost: $18, paid directly to Math Kangaroo). Test date: 3/20/2025.

The steps to register:

2. Log in with your login and password or establish your user account if you are new.

3. Click on the tab By Invitation.

4. Copy and paste this code in the field Invitation Code: MINORTH0002001@2025MK

5. Do not share the code with anyone

We are open to registration for these contests starting this Sunday, please go to MNCCS office (Liberal Arts Building, Room 420, 18600 Haggerty Rd, Livonia, MI 48152) to do the registration and pay the fee accordingly (cash or check only) in the following Sundays:

9/8, 3pm ~ 5pm

9/15, 1pm ~ 5pm

9/22, 1pm ~ 5pm

9/29, 1pm ~ 5pm

I would also like to reiterate that MNCCS/NCCAE, Meads Mill and Hillside Math clubs are committed to the integrity of these tests and will confront any attempts to undermine the test security, any violation will be reported to the school and the competition administration organizations.
