NAU MAI, HAERE MAI WELCOME TO NEW BRIGHTON CATHOLIC SCHOOL
'NBC aims to care for your child as an individual and encourages pupils to care for others in a Catholic way. '
We welcome you warmly into our New Brighton Catholic School - Mary Immaculate Community and hope that you will become an interested and active member of our School.
The Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions (RNDM), our founding order, started New Brighton Catholic School - Mary Immaculate in 1935.
NBC aims to care for your child as an individual and encourages pupils to care for others in a Catholic way. It is the aim of the School to provide specific Catholic teachings in Gospel truths and virtues which will permeate the day with a message of love and vitality of Christ's presence within a caring and Catholic environment. All teachers understand their responsibility to both promote and therefore to protect this Special Character.
Through our Catholic Character, we invite our pupils to personal faith in God and seek to develop the whole person in an environment where Gospel truths, as handed on by the Church, are taught and practised. It is our privilege and responsibility to ensure your children have the best possible education, both spiritually and academically.
PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME
It is with pride that I welcome you to New Brighton Catholic School (NBC), a state integrated Catholic school that offers primary education for girls and boys from Year 1 to 8.
The school is located on a quiet street in the seaside suburb of New Brighton and we are fortunate to be able to take full advantage of our proximity to the beach and Rawhiti Domain.
At New Brighton Catholic School we are committed to educational excellence.
We are a well-resourced school with networked computers in each classroom together with other ICT tools that enhance the learning environment. Within the caring and nurturing atmosphere which characterises our school, values are taught and lived, and we focus on developing the whole child with emphasis on the spiritual dimension.
High standards of personal integrity are encouraged, and a strong cultural and social awareness and concern for others is expected.
The school fosters a family-like atmosphere where every student is known and valued. New Brighton Catholic School welcomes enrolments from international students. For further information please visit our international students page.
