Monday - Thursday, November 22-25, Heartwood Teachers and Mentors will be offering interactive workshops for students and their parents and guardians on Zoom, in place of regularly scheduled Heartwood Classes.
Building community connections, we share the talents, interests, and passions from across British Columbia and beyond.
Workshops ideas and categories:
STEM ~ Music ~ Art ~ Environmental Awareness ~ Robotics ~ Critical Thinking ~ Philosophy ~ Design ~LGBTQ+ Advocacy ~ Dungeons and Dragons ~ First Lego League ~ Cooking ~ Chess ~ Show & Tell ~ Book Club ~ Photography ~ Spoken Word / Slam Poetry ~ All about that PAC ~ ... and many more!
We welcome Workshop Leaders from our extraordinary Teachers, Families, and greater Community!
Ages: Your workshop may be catered to include combinations of grades: K-2 / 3-4 / 5-6 / 7-9 / Parents-Adults
Purpose: Workshops must be engaging and interactive.
Cost for Participants: In general, we ask that workshop supplies cost less than $10 per participant (with the exception of specialized programs such as robotics for which students may already own the required equipment).
Payment for Community Members: We are pleased to offer an honourarium of $100 to community members.
