PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: Kalyanpur is Patwi thikana of Sonagra Chouhan Chaturbhujot clan of Marwad (Jodhpur). It was earlier ruled by rulers of Guhil dynasty who held the title of Raja and the princes were called Yuvraj and Rajkumar. The town is located 60 km from Jodhpur on Barmer - Balotra highway (NH25).
