PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: The Thikana was granted to Maharaj Biharidas, a descendant of Maharawal Kait Singh (Jait?) of Jaisalmer. Amongst the descendant of Maharawal Kait Singh (who reigned about 11 generations before Maharawal Bairisal of 1840s), the chief thakurs are Jinjiniali, Baru or Baroo, Rindur, Dangri, and Sitnaia. The profit obtained from the soil is divided equally between all the sons, if there happen to be more than one; or a division can be made by friendly arbitration or by the order of the Darbar.
