Fall 2023 was the first year I decided to use NationStates across all of my classes. Each class served as a panel for the nation, making decisions about issues relevant to their content area. Issues were presented approximately once every two weeks, with some issues being presented to all classes to vote on.
From the beginning, I have been collecting voluntary feedback from my students on various aspects of the NationStates program, including enjoyment, engagement, relevance, and more. The feedback surveys are given at least halfway through the semester. The graphs below represent all data collected between September 2023 and January 2025.
This graph serves as context for the following results, giving a sense of what kinds of classes the student data is taken from. Students are welcome not to report their class in order to maintain the anonymity of response submission.
For context, the "3" represents that they felt this was the correct amount of usage.
