Planning the presentation
The whole presentation has a time limit of 35 minutes, that includes General and Specific Criteria. - Allocate time in proportion to the value of the marks of each criteria.
Videos must be short - 30 to 45 seconds to prevent the adjudicators to loose interest.
If you use videos in your presentation, make sure to provide your own external speaker, don't use the computer's speaker.
There must be one or two "Oh my Gosh" punchlines or moments in the presentation.
Never indicate anything negative about yourself , an activity or incident.
Structure your presentation to tell an interesting story - The beginning, the process and the end.
Make sure your photo's and video's are good quality and clear.
Don't decorate too much, it distract the adjudicator's attention away from the presentation.
Switch of automatic transition of slides, do it manually as you present by means of a clicker/pointer. ( If possible )
Try to get used to present your slideshow in presenter mode, it makes it easier.
Make keynotes by using the Notes function of PowerPoint.
Make sure you know your presentation well, under stress conditions we tend to get stuck and forgetting stuff.
