ADJUDICATION
Before
Go through your presentation one last time before you go to the venue. - Then relax!
Make sure you have all the equipment you are going to use and it is in working order. (Batteries, Cables, Cords, Clicker/Pointer, Laptop charged)
Arrive at least 60 minutes before your presentation time and announce yourself to the reception staff.
Don't discuss presentations with competitors but behave in a friendly manner, networking is an important part of the NTA experience.
Look and behave like a professional teacher, sometimes stress makes us behave in a silly way.
During adjudication
Relax, be friendly, be polite.
Follow instructions from the chairperson of the adjudication panel.
Ask permission to setup cords, speaker and additional equipment if necessary. (You have 5 min allocated for this)
Be lively in your presentation.
Pay attention to the adjudicators.
Make eye contact, don't speak to the walls.
Speak clearly and at a slower pace, don't rush!
Keep track of the time !
This is a big issue!
Adjudicators are professional experts and they usually don't show emotions during your presentation.
Note keeping by the adjudicators are usually a good sign.
Make sure to collect all your equipment before leaving the venue.
