As many people often experience, small round cases for wireless earbuds can go misplaced or simply get in the way.
Tired of constantly looking for my earbud case and hoping it was never inadvertently knocked off the edge of a table, I designed and printed a desk mounted holder to secure the case when not in use.

To ensure the holder would actually be used, it would have to be convenient and simple.
Because of this, the top half of the case is exposed to help with grabbing the case.
Additionally, there is a cutout on the bottom of the mount for a finger to lift the case out of the holder.
Since the case is the means by which the earbuds are charged, it was necessary for the case to be able to charge while stored.
The finger cutout on the bottom of the holder was designed to double as a slot for a charging cable to pass through.
Since the case would be repeatedly taken in and out of the holder, it was important that it not become damaged from the holder itself.
The plastic material the holder is made of is not of concern for marking the case. Instead, the metal screws that secure the holder had to properly recessed behind plastic to avoid scratching the case.
