The Grayscale defender is a short game I built in just a few days with the help of two of my friends. For a long time I had wanted to participate in a game jam, but it was not until mid-2024 when I got an email from Gamedev.tv inviting me to their game jam that I decided to do it. I didn't want to do it on my own (because I am not good at art), so I asked my sister if she wanted to join me. She agreed, and so four days into the ten-day game jam we started our game. I also asked my friend SoldierBeats to make music for the game, which he did, and did well.
After two days of hard work the game was playable, but I had work and a very busy weekend so I didn't get much further than that. The game is currently has some cool mechanics and a really sweet cutscene, but is missing some QoL features that I didn't have time to implement.
I highly recommend that you play the game yourself, and leave me a comment!
