Support 3 Important Immigration Bills in Mass
After the cruel and horrific acts of ICE in Minneapolis, where they killed Renee Good, it is clear that our state must take action to keep us safe. ICE tears apart families, scares children into avoiding school, and spreads fear across our communities. It is baffling that, despite continued support throughout 2025, the Massachusetts legislature fails to meet our moment and follow the footsteps of other blue states such as Connecticut and Illinois, which have passed laws to protect immigrants. It is time for Massachusetts to step up! Pending Immigration Bills in Need of Support (See action sheet for more information)
Safe Communities Act (S.1681/H.2580): Would prevent local law enforcement from acting as ICE deputies.
Dignity Not Deportation Act (S.1122/H.1588): Would limit cruel deportation practices and end Massachusetts’ complicity.
Immigrant Legal Defense Act (S.1127/H.1954): Fund would provide no-cost legal services to income-qualifying Massachusetts residents facing deportation.

Detainee abuse in ICE facilities is well-documented, but it will continue unchecked unless there is decisive action. Congressional ICE Inspections plummeted in 2025. The Trump regime is throwing up roadblock after roadblock to interfere with Congress’s ability to inspect conditions and demand accountability. Congress does not have to comply in advance. Call or write to your US Senators and Congressperson to demand that they use their oversight authority to conduct unannounced and consistent inspections of the Burlington ICE Facility.
