You have the entire 40-minute lesson to create your own short story or film script based of the techniques you have learnt throughout this unit.
To get started, consider the five elements of a story. Make sure you have a plot, theme, conflict, place and character. Then identify whether you want to write in first, second or third person.
Then using the mind map below, create your main character:
Remember the five elements of characterisation as you begin to write about your character. Consider how you would describe their looks, speech, relationships, actions and inner thoughts.
Consider what form you want to present your world in. Do you want to do a script or story? If you choose script, insert what camera angles you would have in different scenes to evoke emotion in your audience. A template below is provided for you.
