METHEXIS

I'm one of the creators of METHEXIS, a transdisciplinary research-action project led by Domenico Brunetto and Andrea Di Franco aimed at studying and transforming the fragile context of the San Vittore prison of Milan. Fourteen researchers of different disciplines will implement and assess focused actions on the prison's young adult section. The group of which I'm part of will design educational activities in mathematics and test indicators for the participation of inmates to forms of social life and peer support. AN INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY

As a Maynard Adams Fellow for the Public Humanities, in Fall 2020 I devised and taught an introductory class in philosophy by mail correspondence for inmates in the prison of Butner, NC, while the prison was not accessible due to covid-19. I'm currently turning the notes and exercises into a textbook for teaching philosophy by mail correspondence. This is a play for elementary and middle schools on the theme of mathematics and cryptography prepared for the 2023 Engineering Festival. We then performed it again at the 2024 Engineering Festival.
