About
I'm a researcher in the Philosophy of Science and Technology.
I'm currently Assistant Professor (RTDA) in the Philosophy Department at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, where I teach in the new Philosophy of the Digital Age and AI program. I'm also Contract Professor of Critical Thinking at the School of Industrial and Information Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. Before that, I was Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mathematics Department of Politecnico di Milano.
My research encompasses the foundations of induction, research ethics, mathematical modeling, complexity, decision theory, and STEM education. I've authored Analogical Reasoning in Science (2026, Cambridge University Press) and several peer-reviewed articles in the philosophy of science and technology. Over 2023-2025, I was Principal Investigator of the project VINCE - Vetting Implicit Normativity in Climate Economics. In 2025, I served as Reviewer for the United Nations' GEO-7 Global Environment Outlook report.
I'm co-creator of METHEXIS, a research-action project that brings critical thinking and informal mathematics education in fragile social contexts. For my work in theaters, schools, and prisons, I'm the recipient of a Maynard Adams Fellowship for the Public Humanities (2018) and of two Polisocial Awards (2023, 2024).
