There is one application for semester programs managed by Gies Global Programs. You can rank up to 10 programs on your application. Click the link above to apply in My Study Abroad.

Information:

You will receive an e-mail from Nanyang by the beginning of the application period which is March 1 – 30 for fall participants and September 1 – 30 for spring participants with the application instructions. Nominations are made in mid March for fall participants and mid September for spring participants.

Application results will be emailed in late May/early June for fall participants and in late October/early November for spring participants. Students will be asked to accept your offer and be given more information regarding housing (apply through the online portal only-see housing below), student pass (your visa), etc. 

Nanyang Requirements:

• The exchange program is NOT open to Singapore citizens

• Any major may apply but enrollment in business courses may be required.

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0

• Completed at least one year of course work on the Illinois campus (or one semester for off-campus transfer students) 

• Strongly recommended that students in their last semester not participate because graduation will be delayed.

Deadline:

• Fall Semester: February 1st 

• If ranking both Fall and Spring options on application: February 1st

• Spring Semester :

  • Spring only (Early Access): February 1st

  • Additional rounds: June 15th and September 1st

  • Any remaining spots for Spring programs after the February 1st deadline will be open for the June 15th deadline. If available, they will also be open for the September 1st deadline.

• Note: Study abroad slots for each location are given out first in the Fall. Any remaining slots will be given in the Spring semester. If location is your top priority, we recommend applying for the Fall semester.
