Defensive Driving

Defensive Driving Benefit: 

The NTA Member Benefit Trust will reimburse an NTA member or NTA retiree $20 towards the cost of the Defensive Driving course endorsed by NYSUT and available at NYSUT Member Benefits' webpage (see link below).  This course is for New York State drivers only.

How To Get Reimbursed:

The NTA Member Benefit Trust will reimburse the member $20 towards the cost of this course once every three years.  You must submit a copy of the certificate of completion and the NTA Member Benefit Trust Defensive Driving Reimbursement Form (see link below) within 90 days of completing the course. 

A copy of the certificate and the reimbursement form should be sent to Kathleen McGuire at Highview Elementary School via interoffice mail. 

Retirees can send their paperwork and a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Note:  Failure to provide a self-addressed stamped envelope will delay reimbursement.

Reimbursement checks will be issued monthly after the first Monday of the month (September - June).
